Well I love my cars and I love working on my cars, up untill saturday I was a renault 5 tg turbo boy (don't take the piss).

However no one touched the engine but me, now I have just got my dream 300zx twin turbo and I needs a cambelt it can't be that hard can it?

300ZX's timing belt isnt that hard, expect 8+ man hours of labor. I've done it a few times with no problems.

Ive got a cambelt hangin on my wall and an underdrive pulley under the bed.

All I need now is to pluck up enough courage to get me spannaz out.

I'll let you know how it goes.

ps. get the cd rom manual from Bob, it looks good for cambelt changing.

Good to see you have moved up to a proper man's car...just think how much money you will save when you cancel the Max Power subscription ;-)

See Ya

Hey Matt,

Nice to see you our site!!

Hows it going Steve? i stumbled along this site and thought i'd take part, and add it to the list of online forums i visit everyday =)

Matt,

My sentencing seems to have gone pear shaped!

I meant to say "Nice to see you visiting our site"

Damn keyboard (or is it the user!!)

Steve

Yeah Logik is Spot on,

Basic stuff really, a few things that you might wanna change while you are in there.

The tt.net Tech section has a good write up, as does the service manual.

Gets a bit more tricky if you wanna change the front Main Seal and and all the Cam Sprockets but that isn't quiet as important as the Belt.

Good luck and happy belt changin.

Oh yeah and if you are lookin for a nice first Mod, get a UD pulley and Belts before you do it as now is the perfect time :o)

Don't listen to Nico. He is only an expert at taking Zeds apart. He has yet to demonstrate that he can put them back to gether without a box of spares left over.

Nico maybe you should take the roof panels off yours and fill it with compost and make into a nice planter on your parents lawn!!!

Simon ;-)

What difference does the underdrive pulley make?Is it worthwhile on a NA?

Everybody on this site with an underdrive pulley thinks they are a worthwhile mod and they are very popular for Amercan V8's so thats good enough for me.

TT net has a good tech article about them.

Hey Mr Montego,

Mr Z will be back with a vengance when my bank account reaches a level of uninsulting proportions, which isn't looking too likely thanks to steve and his tempting bargain hunting.

And that box of spares will be "Improvements"

lol.
