as you know i am out in Iraq, i have missed my car loads, and spent ££££'s on her, but i am woundering weather i should keep her when i get back or sell her and go traveling for a few yrs, i have do her once, whats stopping me in doing her again or a different car, just thoughts at this time, and very hard ones i might add. theres just to much to go wrong on a car like this, and even more so when you up the power.

I still adore the zeds dont worry guys and i love mine to bits.

Your just going through that time of the month phase :D Keep the Zed Karl.I know what you mean ref theres always some thing going tits up.My next job is a new clutch and flywheel +all the other stuff to go with that job, thats another £1400 down the pan LOL.Now I need a new TPS.But ferk it I loves me Zed.

Carnt believe you thinking of selling after all the work that has gone into it. Better the devil you know mate.

Have you thought of keeping it under wraps for a few years whilst travelling?

Any car can go wrong Karl, better the devil you know? :D

i just dont see the 300zx scene the way it was when i first got it, thats all,

people have changed the forum has changed and all that together puts a downer on me unless im in my zed, i carnt be the only one that feels this way, but i really do wanna travel aswell, and what does better you know the devil mean???????????

Basically it means you know the car & know the history/problems. Rather than a new car unknown problems etc

wait till you get back mate - take her for a blat & see what you feel like.

Travel is brilliant.

Going for more than 8-12 months at a time can become a drag.

I'd be tempted by the travelling.

Your outlook on life changes from time to time, the only thing that dosen't change is who you are.

If you feel you must travel, then travel you will regret not doing it.

It looks as if you enjoyed putting the effort into your Zed as it looks the dogs mate, so what is stopping you from doing it again.

Do it mate, sell up, travel, and if you miss it that much come back and tell us all your adventures.

You lose so much selling it, you might as well get it stored or looked after by someone while you travel. Are you working travelling? or just enjoying the saved cash? I love travelling but I'm a bit sick of living out of bags now. If I ever do any more I think it'll be going somewhere and working for 6mths so I don't have to rough it again. Saying that though, the more settled we get here with animals and stuff the harder it will be to do any travelling so maybe its time I relaxed a bit :-)

sorry m8 dont understand

people have changed. forum has changed??

what has that to do with owning a car?? or whatever you do in life??

personally i can't think of one car i've owned that other things than the car itself have influenced what i do next?

you like the car and it still gives you that buzz keep it, if not get rid;)

Karl. Nothing in life stays the same buddy and I am sure you already know that. Your car, Your decision. But dont you think that being away from home has made you a bit miserable and therefore looking for something to do with your mind? When I feel down I sell both my cars my computer and everything else that aint bolted down. I chear up and laugh at the idea.

I aint going to sell my ZED. No not ever mate. and if I did it would be to get another one. So what would be the point.

IMO...You should forget about selling the 300 mate its one of the best in the club and sort your life out and stop being bloody stupid. :slap:

   ATB    Vince.

maybe i am been abit dumb, but i no that lesley my misses really wants to travel and i wanna live that dream with her, and if selling is the only way, then let it be, but for now she is still with me (the zed) and will be around for the future, thx guys.

why let a car hold you back from travelling? a kid maybe, a wife, a mortgage to pay, but not a car,

as you know i am out in Iraq, i have missed my car loads, and spent ££££'s on her, but i am woundering weather i should keep her when i get back or sell her and go traveling for a few yrs, i have do her once, whats stopping me in doing her again or a different car, just thoughts at this time, and very hard ones i might add. theres just to much to go wrong on a car like this, and even more so when you up the power.

Youre asking the wrong people :slap: its like asking which is best a zed or a 3000gt on this forum ;)

:p :p

The way i look at it is this... plenty ofd people will tell you to keep it, and thats fair enough, howver you've already hinted that youre worried about it going wrong. its YOUR pocket the cash will come from when/if it goes wrong, not the people who tell you to keep it, its your decision.

Why not set aside some time (say 3-4 weeks) when you get back, and go off somewhere overseas.

You / your Mrs might find travelling's not like you thought and forget it. Or you might love it and want to go for it big time.

thx for all the great comments guys, i do love the zed and if it did go, man i would be gutted, i think i was just down that day and felt like just getting rid of everything lol, only had her a yr now and now she is pretty much perfect, need to do cam seals and thats it, then she is in number 1 condition,.

thx karl

mate, i would say if your in iraq earning good money, then use to travel, there is so much blood and you in the car, it would be terrible to part with it
