  1. THIS is why I love those little dudes across the pond! They make ANYTHING possible.. http://www.speedhunters.com/2013/01/speed-challenger-the-bensopra-380sx/ Size of those Turbossss! :cool3:
  2. Its easily achievable on the RS6's to hit crazy numbers both HP and Torque, thing is they are bullit proof and can take it without much effort - Engine and gearbox. People like MRC tuning know what the limits are and will remap accordingly to your current mods so nothing is over stressed. RS246 is one forum that i've never really set eyes on, Ive been on there once and hated the whole layout of it so didn't bother. But I agree, forums like this and others such as the GTROC and MKIVsupra seem to be more laid back when it comes to modding their cars and not so judgemental, that's why I can't keep away from here even though the Z got sold years ago! I think most are up their own arse alot of the time and don't even realise it but anyway...... I reckon give it a year or two and I may be back in a Z or similar, GTR possibly as I can't see the logic in spending 4 figure sums everytime my car needs a service and some work doing to it!
  3. Very nice mate! Plain jane remap on these and you'll see 530hp+ with some very nice torque :turned: .. Come over on Audisrs.com, everything you could possibly learn about these cars are on there
  4. That's a full Border Aero kit including the Bonnet, but the front bumper which is indeed a Veilside peice. Shame really as it could be quite nice, even has a rare Razor Auto Shifter too!
  5. Cheers me dears! Hope the Z gang is still going strong.
  6. Ok buddy, I thought that might be the reason. Thanks. Rob
  7. Can I ask what is there to be a discussion about? I'm in no way related to the site or those involved in the making of the petition. Cheers, Rob
  8. Much appreciated guys! Abit late, but better late then never right? lol. Im not over on here much now a days but still pop over every now and then to see whats happening and what projects are being born :). Currently riding round in an Audi S4 but would like to think i'll be in a Z sometime in the future. I still have a soft spot for them and always will, they are way ahead of their time and just overall awesome cars. Once again, cheers guys! :)
  9. Hi guys, Just got word of mouth and have just now see on Facebook that a Subaru drift car has been stolen from Santa pod at around 6:30 yesturday evening. Here is the link to their FB page. Please 'like' the page and get info & pics of the car: http://www.facebook.com/teamjapspeed Lets keep a close eye out for this car please and hope it gets found, and returned in safe sound. Its certainly not a car you see everyday so it wont be hard to miss but all the info is on their FB page regarding the number to contact if spotted or have an idea where it might be. If there is anyone who works on the docks, or close by please keep an extra eye out as suspisions are that it 'could' be on route out of the country. Cheers.
  10. Profec A gets my vote ;) but have always liked the AVCR.Just too complicated from what ive used of one - great looking bit of kit though and fits perfectly in the DIN.
  11. Total money maker..It was on the news the other morning that more than 50% that are up on our roads, aren't even working so what's the point?
  12. Looks pretty tidy tbh..the heat sheild has been removed on that, but i forgot how much the stock intercooler piping covers up the mani lol. You should still be able to get a good look at it though and be able to see if there is any cracks/hairline cracks in it. It all looks in good nick so at a guess, fingers crossed,it might be alright. Worth checking though if you can as it just causes annoying problems. Just behind the IC piping:
  13. Ive never been keen on Auto's either, mine was a manual so cant really comment on what the auto gearboxes are like. Shame there is no engine bay pic of the car, would be interested to see if he has removed the heatshield from the manifold so if you do view the car you could see IF there is any crack,or any signs of it starting to. Let us know how you get on.
  14. Touch wood, I had no problems with mine in the 2 years i owned it, and I was the first UK owner but a common thing to look out for on these is the manifolds cracking, usually on the '3rd runner' as they say. Also they tend to 'overboost' a fair bit as these have a high and low boost setting as standard and the only way really to get around this is to install an EBC and actuator and then set the boost using the EBC. Apart from that they are pretty bullet proof. As for the price, it does seem very cheap, but maybe he just wants a quick sale for the genuine reason that he says in his for sale advert. Go and take it for a spin and see what you think,i wouldnt expect to be blown away though as it looks pretty much stock apart from the exterior mods he's listed. IIRC i was insured with Adrian flux and i wasnt paying big bucks either, but yes you are right, not many companies do recognise them hense why most will insure them as a 1.3 starlet. There is a couple of forums for these with loads of FAQ's etc: Toyotagtturbo.com UKstarletclub.com HTH
  15. These are fun!..I had one afew years ago, this is how she looked before i sold it.. Just afew pics.. I think for the money, and something small/nippy with a cheeky turbo on then you cant go wrong with them..Had mine running at 1.2bar and it really was a pocket rocket. Rob
  16. Yeah i thought about jurgen mate,I will be in touch with him and see what examples he could line up,just thought id ask here first. did i convert that right, buy it now price for that 500bhp is just over £7K? Will pop Jurgen an email in the morning and keep an eye on these exchange rates, cheers Mike.
  17. oh my good god!..now thats something i would be looking at bringing over and getting my grubby mitts on lol..that is stunning!..I doubt many of those crop up now, shame really. Price wise i wouldnt be prepared to spend 15k although i think something like the link you showed me is deffinatly worth it! Looks like a very similar spec i'd want to end up with also. I would be looking in the region of 9K max OTR or there abouts, shame about the exchange rates having a bad turn..
  18. Evening all.. Up until afew weeks ago, I hadn't been on here much as i sold my Z around 2 years ago now and moved onto other things, but I will be back in the Z scene again and in the market for buying another one in the next month or so. :cool3: I was just wondering if anyone like Kirbz or Import-ance are still trading and bringing over some fresh tidy Z's for us guys?. As we're in 2011, i would be on the hunt for a late spec Z if i could get my mits on one. I have seen atleast 4 that have just gone through the auction house in Japan and were starting around the 9K mark which i was surprised at  but I am totally clueless when it comes to bidding/shipping/landing fee's etc hense why I am asking the question above.. I would send afew PM's out but as I need to renew my subscription I can't so any help/info would be greatly appreciated. Rob.
  19. Ah there he is..the man who made it possible ;)..you didn't bring in any more of those bumpers then mate?..has to be one of the nicest, if not the nicest bumper for the Z in my opinion..How's yours looking now?.
  20. Things were starting to go wrong mate, mechanically. One of the problems being the gearbox and after spending ££££ on getting it resprayed, new wheels, bodykit and all the other aftermarket parts I had just bought for it, I couldn't afford to keep spending stupid amounts of money on it..I'll be back in another one sometime ;) Yeah I kinda grew to like the Jap ariel........ :whistling: lol. Sad news :(..I guess she's lying in a scrapyard somewhere then :(,shame really..was a minter and had some good and rare parts on, just needed the right person to come along and really have the time and money to look after it.. I know when i was selling it, there was a guy in Spain(also used this forum) who was interested, what's the chances of it being shipped over there?
