All of the above plus music on loud and waved at everbody I knew .Like the first time you leave the car with the turbo timer on and watch peoples faces when it shuts down black magic

drove like a granny on a sunday i'm afraid....it was p1ssing down very poor conditions unfamiliar feel for the handling, first auto since the last 5 years before, coupled with 300 horse at the rear wheels and steamed up windows (cos i couldnt suss the air con) meant a very cautious first day's driving...almost pertified to be honest...still respect the beast a hell of lot after 2 years driving...its the kind of car if you give it an inch it will bite your hand off and you'll find yourself going sideways or backwards....:D

All of the above. exactly. Let my mate Dave "Sanke" have a go and he nearly side swept an Astra and as you can imagine I shat myself.

I drive relatively slowly too. First drive of mine was on test drive. I had Richard Smith in the car as well. Only floored it once, but that was because I had to wave good-bye to a smokey old GTO....lol

I still don't drive it hard now. Occasionally, I'll put my foot down. But that doesn't happen often. I'll give it a bit of boost every now and then, but haven't run it through the gears on a hard take off yet....too worried it'll go bang. Quite happy with how it is at the moment.

First time I drove my Zed it had no indicated oil pressure and the cam followers sounded like a dozen monkey fighting in a oil drum with spanners.

But once that was fixed all of the above EVERY ! ! time I drive it, could be why I only get 3000 miles out a rear tyres...

Took it pretty easy on my first day as a Zed owner.. Cruised around town and then booted it when I got to a clear stretch of motorway  Still remember grinning like a fool :D

I remember the first day i bought it i took it around to show my son (he Was 8 then). The look on his face was priceless. We went for a drive around town with the roof off and he was grinning more than me.He still gets a kick when i add something new to it.He would never talk to me again if i sold it LOL :hyper:

Yup, long drive from Warrington back to Kirkcaldy uninsured :x: oops!

Back as smile all the way home. My mates came with me in their Audi. I kept asking him what it looked/sounded like on the walkie talkies lol

Had to stop at a service station so i could have another look at it. Sad but who cares :D

oh, couldnt go over 70 either or the girlfriend would start screaming

drove mine back from blackpool to peterborough long route all motorways and yeah i had to boot it a few times yummy what a journey

Picked mine up from Reading drove straight back to suffolk

Nailed it at every oppertunity until i nearly swiped a lampost on a roundabout :D Slowed me down for a minute or two

I just barley remember my first day as it was back in 1994 when the ZX was to killed of for the UK market. But I took took it pretty rasy at first to get the hang of the power and getting the straight line over taking correct.

Just Went By Every Thing Always Made The Gap ,top It Out On Motorway And Said Shit This Thing Is Bloody Quick ,also Said Shit When I Looked At The Fuel Gauge, near My Home I Passed My Wife In The Back Of Another Car And Her Mother Who Was Driving Shit Herself As I Went By And She Said To My Wife What A Bloody Idiot ,my Wife Relized It Was Me And Said Nothing,i Didnt Even Know She Was In The Car,when I Got Home She Said How Fast Does It Go Then,i Replied Dont Know Not Booted It Yet,she Said Well You Went Pass Me And My Mother Well Over A Ton Down An A Road,i Said If You Want To Find Out How Fast It Is Jump In,big Mistake 20 Seconds Later She Screeming Let Me Out,no Love Your Going Off The Clock With Me,,,,wicked

friggin ell my first day in the zed LOL!!

well say this zed in the autotrader so went up to see it mint condition low millage and auto FFS whats an auto never driven one of those before LOL!! so the owner had to testdrive it for me and i had a little go down the drive my leg shacking like i had run a million miles!!, my father had to drive it home for me, but come the next day it was awsome so much power compared to my audi 80 2.0e posing everywhere and flooring it here and there but had loads of respect for the power of the care so was quite caerfull,

problem was i never had a turbo b4 so when i went to work i would speed to the pick up point and switch the engine off straight away, needless to say this only happend for bout 6months till the tubs seized, from then on it was £££££

but today learned a very hard lesson but still worth every penny

Hmmmmmmmm, my first day..........

Picked it up from Northampton at about 8pm, it was cold and peeing down with rain, the Z was pretty clean (still in use fron the old owner) so i didnt really care about keeping it dry LOL, As soon as i left the old owners house, the music was cranked up, now, i could of gone straight to the motorway and got home in about 45mins, or, go all the way through Northampton town centre then Market Harborough centre and a few other little towns and then Leicester town centre!! guess which i did LMAO!! 2Hrs 30mins to go 45ish miles!!

I did drive it like a girl thou, cos of the weather, but the 2nd day of ownership which was nice a dry was a lot more fun!! :D

1st day of the SWB ownership.......I was just glad to survive the M1 on the way home with hardly any brakes and 1 headlight! LMAO

picked her up d drove her along the dreaded a140..............I FELT LIKE A KING.....

First time i ever had a test drive of one was a 300zx.co.uk member's car....johndps's twin turbo and what a car!!!Almost didn't want to give him it back :D One week later i got one in Kidderminster but drove it back to Scotland like a granny but evryone was looking at it when they passed

Same as Scottywil...had to pull over at Southwaite services just for another look at it :D

My drive home was slow as it was raining. I got a little nerve up coming off of a round about and the back end tried to overtake the front end so the rest of the ride was like I was driving Miss Daisey. Even now I respect the beast, if you dont it will bite your damn head off.

:o im still learning how to handle my z but getting better all the time :D

I took it real easy on my first day .... really enjoyrd it though ... second day asn't so good. floored it big time and blew an intercooler pipe ... thought I had killed the poor girl ... bugger!!

turned out OK in the end though .. :-)

drove her all the way back from northamptonshire, traffic all the way, followed my misses home, not sure of the way back, traffic eased just past detling hill, opened her up,huge grin, took my brother out as soon as i got home ,let him have a go,bloody hell he said not much will touch you in this, spent next half an hour racing up and down the brielle way, aaaarrhhhhhhh the long summer evenings

PMSL!-First day bringing it home-all the way I was thinking ''wonder what else will go under the bonnet''! :o

Nah!-seriously,as already said,it pi55ed it down all the way back and couldn't de-mist the screen! :x:

First time I gave it some was with Boldy going to work!-then he bought one! ;)

drove like a pansy for the first week! id test driven some quick motors to decide what i wanted, but this was the first thing id owned bigger than 1108cc!!! it was the first rear wheel drive and took a lot of getting used to!!

now (when it works) iv got a little more into it and give it some! (still have alot of respect for it though after a couple of roundabout incidents when it showed me who was boss!)

Drove all the way to Plymouth to get mine after finding it in the auto trader that morning... Didn't like the Supra and GTO I test drove earlier on in the day, they just didn't turn me on... Saw this Z at the owners home on a nice hot summers afternoon and it had the roof off looking gorgeous, knocked on the doors and he said here are the keys go take it for a spin!!! Trusting bloke, so me and my mate jumped in and went for a quick drive / pose around Plymouth just by ourselves... My inital thoughts we're drives nice but not as quick as my S12 Silvia... Chaves looked on in the street shouting nice car mate back at us so after 30mins driving around (Bloke must of thought we'd nicked it!) I knocked on his door and did the deal!!! Haven't regreted it since, only the repair bills!!!
