I think we should ban it from the forum. It saves no time when you have a proper keyboard and takes twice as long to read. I usually don't bother making the effort to even read threads in "txt spk" let alone reply to them.

 

So come on moderators - is there anything you can do to eliminate posting "txt spk"??????

Abreviations are there to save letters on a text so as you can get more in on a single message as most text's are limited to 160 characters per text.

for example

 

Hello mate.How is your weight training going? = 39 characters

Hi m8.howz ur w8tz doin? = 20 characters

Thats nearly half as many characters so you can say twice as much in a single text.

 

Yes this is a computer based forum but it is also viable via a moby so you might want to check first before ripping into yet another newbie...

And even if he/she is using a keyboard...so feckin what...if you dont like it then dont post..
