Had the car inspected yesterday and it is really really tidy. Engine is a complete gem, smooth and increadibly fast. Only done 50,000 miles :)

 

Had Gio and Richard Smith to have a good look over for it with me. Found out the car has a mappable ECU (although can't remember which one, Gio will know, not sure what power it's running. Boosts well over 7PSi, not sure what it does boost at, but the needle goes over 7 PSi

 

Anyway, love it to bits, collecting it in about 2 weeks, it's having a new clutch and full service done to it.

 

On test drive, I totally obliterated a GTO.

 

Also comes with expensive 18" Rays split rims. Nice 9" wide at the rear :) one is missing a centre cap though, so currently on the hunt for one.

 

Has a very expensive Veilside exhaust, thought at first, it would be too loud, but it sounds stunning and totally non abtrusive.

 

Massive thanks to Gio and Rich, great to meet you too, couldn't have made a concisive decision without you. Very very gradeful and much appreciated.

Sure did. In actual fact, as I was driving it back with Richard, we were waiting at a set of lights and next to us was a mini bus packed full of university 'babes'. After a few of them had blown kisses and smiled at us....that sealed the deal!! :rofl:

the bloke sellin knows jack about em mate , not the lads from here!! He tried to palm a purple one at 10k off to a mate and was sellin it as a 92 when checked it out it was a 89 !! And thats the exact reason u take people with you , just like u did , so top move and no doubt see u at a few meets soon bud !!

Oh right, yeah, was that the one with the full vielside kit on it? I did have a look at his other stock and they are all fantastic examples.

 

Gio did all the checks to verify the age. All checked out. Have a copy of the grade4 certificate as well.

Still unsure as to whether I made the right decision with the colour. The 2nd photo from the top looks great, but it looks beige in the others.

 

In the flesh it looks loads better....

All in all it was a tidy car and I'm sure you'll be happy with it

Hey hey, Funkysi! Was exactly the same about the colour when i bought my 'Pearl' too, but now nothing compares! Just had antique red interior fitted and looks even more lush!! See you at the meets sometime. Daf.

Thats a very nice zed fella, very clean, and that pearlescent white is a GOOD colour. If i ever buy another zed, thats what it'll be. I reckon in years to come, a good original example of a pearlescent white 300zx is gonna be worth more money.

Looks like a nice motor was it a good price if the guys on here say the car dealer doent know his zeds did you haggle...i did when i bought mine :dance: :dance:

I couldn't haggle him much, the car is almost faultless. It did have a slipping clutch which will be replaced, a full service and a few other bits and bobs. He knocked 100 off the price. I've payed 4,900 and it comes with a warranty covering engine and gearbox...including turbos.

 

Didn't want to try and haggle too much as I wanted him to do all the work that we agreed on.

Sure will, the exhaust sounds great. Exactly what I was wanting. Since Vielside make lairy kind of bodykits (no offence to anyone), I was expecting this to be very loud.
