My stock gauge reads about max on full boost but my £200 GReddy Trust gauge only ever reads 0.5 kg/cm2

Im going to get my Boost gauge wired upto Warrens arse.

If it reads more than half a bar I will know that either my car is in safety boost or Warren is talking out of his arse.

Unless i'm very much mistaken and i don't think i'm to far off track, but 1 bar is 15.02 psi, so 0.5 bar IS just a tad over 7psi

So don't panic just yet boys.

Smithy just a fraction over m8 14.5psi=1bar

 

 

1bar = 14.5 psi

0.5bar = 7.25 psi

 

Hope this is of any use

1 bar = 1.01972 kg/cm2 = 14.504 psi

so 0.5 kg/cm2 = 7.11 psi

 

When I turn off the boostcontroller in my car (equals safetyboost), I get 0.5 kg/cm2 as well.

1 bar used to be 85g but Mars have now made their bars smaller down to 65g. Have you noticed that you cant get a King Size bar any more its called a Big One.

I cannot understand why my GReddy gauge reads 0.5bar and my Stock gauge reads arounf +6mm/hg.

Surely the GReddy should be the more accurate, ie it reads 0.5bar. Surely my Zed should boost to more than 0.5 bar... it really is fast.

Glen, any mods ? has the boost ever been altered ? if not then surely everything is right, your stock one is almost inline with the greddy gauge, it;s only a low reading if you have been tinkering with yer engine, Smithy
