Hi all, not been a regular on here for a while, but good to see that so many "old" members are still active!

Trying to get my car back on the road after it's sat in the garage for a few years. Braided fuel lines have perished so I ordered replacement stock lines from Torqen at the end of October. Still waiting for them to come in and contact with them seems a bit touch and go. Anyone had any experiences (good or bad) with the company?

Hi Steve,

Welcome back mate, there are still a few of us oldies kicking around 😉

I haven't heard anything bad about them - and they do host a pretty good Japanese car meet in the summer, so I'm told. I've not bought anything from Torqen myself yet, but have added them to my list of potential suppliers just in case.

As with any supplier, I'd always try phoning instead of e-mailing.... It always puts people on the spot, as they have no time to compose an excuse!

Thanks for the feedback Richard. I’ve chased a few times on the phone and by email but the response is always “this is expected in next week”. Had a reply this morning which states they’re expecting the item tomorrow or Monday. Fingers crossed!

I ordered something that showed as in stock as I wanted it quicklu, when I chased it a couple weeks later it was just coming into stock in japan

I ordered something and I was informed that it would 4 to 6 weeks, which I was ok about as I didn't need it urgently.

They're not proactive and have poor communication, needless to say after lots of chasing, my ordered arrived week 10.

In this case it’s too late as you’ve already ordered but in future I would just buy from Z1, CZP or Amayama Japan. I’ve ordered so many parts including various uncommon items from each of these suppliers and never waited longer than a few weeks.

I've ordered stuff from them without any problems. Their stuff usually takes about 10 days to come. I think they don't keep much in stock, and order it from Concept Z Performance (CZP). Don't quote me on that tho.

I order from CZP in the states quite regularly, and stuff comes in about 4 days, great service.

I have to agree - despite being in the USA and Japan, my orders have always arrived quicker that most UK suppliers' despatches!

I've been to their summer meet and got talking to the staff members to see how versed they were in 300ZXs - as they are well known for 350Zs & 370Zs,

I can't remember exactly how the relation was, but one of the senior guys is related to the senior guy at CZP. So they usually order from CZP and then ship within the UK, covering the import aspects,

However, in the future, it would most likely be easier to order from Z1 Motorsports, CZP or Amayama yourself - as others have said too. That way you can get the updates directly,

Adrian (owner of Torqen) is cousins with Coz (one of the CZP guys).
