Well there's a thing. After 23 years, 4 months and 3 days, covering 259,000 miles in 4 Zeds, my 300ZX career has finally come to an end. (Not my obsession with them, 'tho.)

Much as I still think it is "the best damn sports car on the planet", moving to an island without cars means I've got nowhere to put it. So I'm going to say farewell to "the best damn club on the planet". I'm not going to do the saddo thing / Oscar thanks speech because if I mentioned everyone (and you know who you are ? ) who has helped me technically and socially, you'd never get to the end of the post.

So to Z friends past and present, thank you so much. Without your friendship, help and advice over the years, I would have given up on Zeds decades ago.

@Raja93 was first off the mark to ask for the books so they're gone now.

Oh, and I've put an Aruba Dave Z watch on ebay. Don't overbid! Watch for Nissan 300ZX enthusiasts. Branded and logo-ed. | eBay

I'd planned to put the for sale here and on FB. It just so happened, I stuck her on the local "Wightbay" around 4pm. Sat down and about an hour later got a call from someone who sent his dad (with cash) the next morning! She should pop up (if not already) on Ashley Automotive in Bournemouth if she hasn't already. Fastest I have ever sold a car.

End of an era Mike but enjoy your new  life in Sark mate. I remember with great enjoyment picking you up at the airport and taking you to see Sudesh to buy your 99 spec  300zx and still have the Nissan "Meet the family" poster you sent me and it has pride of place on my garage wall. Good health old friend.

I’ve driven past the dealership and it’s I’ve of those places you can’t tell wether it’s a car sales place or a coffee shop! Fancy stuff. Good to see them selling a Z32.

Sad to see you go Gio, you've been a constant on here for longer than I can remember.  While living somewhere without cars would be my kind of hell, I'm sure it has many other endearing qualities.  Wishing you all the best.

Aww, how very kind of you all. Thanks. As you can tell from how long I ran my total of 4 300ZXs, they are really special cars. And I wouldn't have lasted that long without the special UK community here. So keep zedding and enjoy every mile.

In my clear-out, I found a 300ZX baseball cap and the original Japanese instructions for opening/closing the convertible hood. Free to the first who ask for them. PM me your address. 

Oh, and while Sark doesn't have cars, it does have motorsport Sark lawnmower race: Island without cars hosts 'unique' event - BBC News and rallies Sark gets wheels turning for first 'tractor mania' event | ITV News Channel ?

What you clicking on when you get that error?

I enter the subject and message contents in the PM to Gio, hit the send button and get the 404 error. Three times in a row. We both have subscribed so not that issue. Strange
