That looks like the way it is. You could wait a month then get it as a back issue but I think  I will get one in Tesco's ?

Thanks Gaz....I now have this as my PC Wallpaper ?

During the shoot the photographer insisted on the Supra being in the middle or at the front due to the 'colour' balance ?.

When invited to the shoot they insisted that the car had period correct wheels and was as near to how it left the showroom as possible...resulting in some expensive refurbishment and "re-shodding" of my knackered original UK wheels! (I hadn't realised that there is only one tyre manufacturer that supplies the 'original'  size tyres in the UK?)

I was a little concerned on arrival to find the other 2 cars were 8 years younger...and then to see a Dyno printout for the Supra showing 380 bhp!!

Anyhow I needn't have worried...the people were great...as was the whole day...and it was all about how the cars looked, and what advanced features they offered in the 1990's with just a limited test drive to get the feel of what they were capable of.....and as it turns out the article seems to favour the 300...(or am I just reading that because I want to???!!).

Both the journalist and the photographer told me that they thought the 300 was the best looking and that its design was still relevant today and not as dated as the others...the journalist said that the 300 also had the best steering and gearbox of the three.

Personally I thought the other 2 cars were great examples...and their respective owners were passionate and knowledgeable about their marques.....bur neither floated my boat!....I was also amazed to find out that the Supra was worth £45k !!

Anyhow...I think my old girl upheld the honour of the Z32 in quite illustrious company ??

BTW They didn't tell me the piece had gone to print...and to date they haven't sent me a hard copy....although I emailed the journalist...who said he would get the office to send me one!....I would have thought a years subscription could have been the least they could do! ?

Great achievment Gary and to me its an iconic event to have a z32 300zx not only featured in this magazine but on the front cover also. A few years ago some would argue the 300zx was not a classic car but now our cars have come of age. Thank you for promoting the club and take care mate.

Afternoon,

I read the post and the reference to the Standard wheel, tyres.

I want to put my standard, UK spec, wheels back on the car. I am looking for advice on a set of tyres as it seems difficult to get a set made by a single manufacturer.

Please could you tell me what you found for your car and how do they perform?

Anyone with recommendations on mixing tyres sets?

THanks

Rob

I have standard uk wheels on my vert, currently on toyo proxes , cant remember if they are t1r, tr1 or t1 sport , the wheels use to be on my uk car so theyve had 2 sets of proxes since i got them

i got them origonally as there werent many makes that fitted uk wheels, but they were one of 3 or 4 makes the forum were favouring at the time. But i think they are a good mix of comfort, wear, grip, wet grip( as in they dave a bit) and price

i have the t1sport on my slicktop too ( different size) which i use as daily drive, spirited road and occasional track.

Seconded - and yes; I also read the article concluding that the writers favoured the Zed as well. The final summing up beginning with "and here's the clincher" settled it for me:classic_wink:

Art...I remember we were discussing it at the Ace Cafe (I think??)....that would have been  about 4 years ago as I have had the UK Yellow car for 3 and a half years now!
