For those of you not on Facebook or who haven’t seen it, this is the new demo video. I’d love to see a Z like this in the flesh!

Any fans?

I would happily fit this wide arch kit keeping my 89 front end, type one spoiler and stick bonnet/nose panel. It would have to be smoothed in just like that one too.

It looks much better now they have smoothed in the panels. JP I prefer the type 3 spoiler design, and I would have a type 3 bumper on mine now, but they cannot seem to keep up with the ‘supply & demand’ on their parts, and I couldn’t wait forever for them to come back into stock. It’s a shame as I don’t think there will ever be a European distributor.

Gaz,

I will be making an under tray for the front bumper, as even with a black diamond mesh in the centre opening, you can still see road surface, which doesn’t look great

I like that too - but I'd have to have a second Zed to convert....

….As I'd still want an OEM+ example too...

Dammit, are the arches a step too far? Can we not push the boundaries of OEM+ a bit further? Just the arches, smoothed in as shown, no vented bonnets, lairy bumpers or roof spoilers etc? So exactly as my car is now, but with those arches... [emoji848]

Yes step to far for oem + JP It would be a wide arch Z.

It’s been nice knowing you lads, the dark side beckons! [emoji1787]

Come over young padawan

Not at all JP - that is one of the nicest wide arches I have seen... Such a difficult choice, hence I'd want that and a original - best of both worlds...

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I want one big time, I've been on to z1 and they are very helpful at telling me they can't ship the big bits of the kit, but I can have the nose cone, ace, I'm currently considering ordering the lot, flying out , rent a van and take the lot to the freight guys myself.

I'm sure its gonna be Megga expensive.

I've just got the wife to ask the twinz directly on Facebook if there is anywhere else on earth I can buy this kit and if possible even direct off them.

If anyone has anymore Info or shipping companies they have used please let me know.

My Zed needs paint I don't wa. A dont want to do it without this kit, luckily I've got a loads of issues to sort out so no rush!

The Twinz stuff does look nice and has the price tag to go with it.

If you are up to date on productions in the US there are a fair few items being made in the pipeline by various manufacturers. Just really highlights the lack of interest in the UK to create much or the funds to do so.

Or the relative lack of a market over here. I were teasing Nick Letsom of CZP the other day about not having a UK distribution centre and he said we are just not a big enough customer base here.

Very true indeed and even the suppliers/garages we have are unable to become distributors for such companies as Twinz. Easier to get a flight to US/Japan and post your own stuff back.

I know Victor and Efrain, I meet up with them at ZCon and ZNationals events which I’ve been going to for quite a number of years. They did ask me about 5 years ago whether I wanted to be their UK distributor. As has been pointed out, sadly the market just isn’t there in the UK. The flip side of the argument would be that if a UK distribution arm was set up, it would create a small market, but knowing the Z32 scene as I do over here and to a lesser extent in Europe that would still be too small (they did have European distribution however that ceased for the reasons above).

The work and effort involved would greatly outweigh any small potential. I also thought about doing it for the love of the marque, but I just don’t have the time nor the space - small parts are easy to work with and whilst I have a reasonable sized house with just me living in it, storing large numbers of bumpers and body kits would become a nightmare. I had thought about a unit, but we’re back to the situation of lack of demand and it not being commercially viable.

Couple that with the even smaller number of Zed owners that would spend that kind of cash on such upgrades and you are maybe down to a handful of people. Once that has been exhausted the turnaround of new owners spending large amounts would be slim. I’ve found it’s just simpler now to pick up my parts on my travels around the world or order in from Japan rather than paying inflated UK prices.
