On the way home today I dropped a cylinder. Thankfully it turned out to be a loose injector connector and upon inspection the retaining clip had broken away.

 

Is it possible to replace these connectors, are they easy to replace and where can I buy them from?

Jim, shall I order a new loom from Nissan? I seem to remember you saying there are inferior looms on the market to avoid? That loom can sit in the loft until the engine comes out.

Yes, order an OEM harness and whilst you’re at it, replace those crappy early pintle style injectors - a great way to future proof the car.

Do I need the loom for my chassis number if I’m changing the injectors? I’m also going to be changing the gear box to a “98 spec, would that be relevant to which loom I order?

Hi Chris.The best loom to go for is the 95 type manual as it will have plugs already for later injectors,A series 2 ptu and CAS unit.OEM ones can be bought at Z1
