Hello, I've been restoring a Celica gt4 Carlos Sainz over the past few years and shes all but done , ready to take on a new project, a friend of mine had a uk zed in white a long long time ago, I was always double jealous, but I couldnt afford the running costs let alone the car , now 20 years later, depreciation and a better job means I can look at taking one on.

 

I don't want a garage queen and I'm not afraid of hard work, but I want a manual tt 2+2 to rebuild , modify and keep. Pass on to the kids if we can still have petrol cars in 10 years.

 

I've spotted the black on one ebay, but £4500 and having sat for 18 years? So every seal will have dried up, probs needs a load of welding , is that not like loads of money? It's on its second eBay advert so it's obviously to expensive , but what do restro's go for ?

Guys , I'm logged in via my phone with the password saved , and wanna log in via my pc, I've forgot my password when I reset it , the web page says the random question's answer is wrong. The question is who is the manufacturer of the 300zx , I've replied Nissan and nissan , what am I doing wrong?

Possibly because you're already logged in under your username via the 'phone - and are trying to log in again....??

Guys anyone know the black 300 TT UK car on Gumtree, im talking to the guy about it at the moment , reg is H269 DNC

 

from the mot database its looks like its been layed up for a few years, last mot was 2015, before that was 2006,

Just had a look don’t know it be aware uk tend to have lots of rust and looks like it’s been stored on a farm doesn’t store me with faith being sold as a project car

Hi Guys...

 

I actually bought that black 300zx that was on e-bay, got it for £3,400. The new reg was on the car when I got it, I think the private plate was just left on the car after it was parked up and never removed after being transferred. So far I have:

removed that deformed spoiler and gave it a good clean,

done the full timing belt kit, waterpump, thermostat, tensioner etc etc,

all axillary belts,

full service,

rebuilt the callipers

new discs and pads.

 

next on the list is:

remove the fuel tank (haven't started her since service/T-belt)

polybush the subframe and diff,

then off to paint for a full respray, it does needs a rear arch, new spoiler and 2 new sill return panels, the rest is actually pretty solid.

 

When its done ill have a nice original UK spec, Manual, 2+2, Twin Turbo black with black leather and T-Top, a full service history and I'm only the third owner so I'm pretty happy with that!!!

So this arrived late last night, v5 says black, looks very dark grey to me, some history, got a missfire, previous owner started some welding, hasn't had a service for many many years , so it's full service , all fluids, cambelt , fresh fuel , see if that sorts the missfire, if not investigate that and a touch of welding for not...... , Got 2 keys one for the doors one for the ignition!!!! Neither open the boot or glove box, crack in the rear bumper, I'm sure the list is endless, but its what I wanted , UK TT manual :-). Anyone got a full lock set?

Thanks guys so an hour to mess with her , and Im well loved up, gonna ruin me this piece of tin! As I said to the wife and daughter , who's bagged this over the gt4 , this is a full on 90's supercar
