Well I bit the bullet and ordered a TwinZ rear spoiler from them last week, paid and was expecting it in the next week or so...... Big Mistake!

 

Tonight I decided to look on my account at the tracking details and seen when or if it had shipped....

 

What I found was a note added in the order to say it would be sent out in mid June........

 

No email, nothing on the web page to say it wasn't in stock, bu**er all communication that I would be waiting months!!

 

The website says" The TwinZ Design Rear HATCH Lip Spoilers are now available.".........

 

Let alone the car is booked in for a respray in April......

 

Absolute Joke..... Thanks for letting me know it's on back order Z1.........

Hi Nick, Unfortunately CZP don't have the spoiler on their site.... I am so angry with Z1 as I now have to try and sort out a refund and supplier thats reliable....

I have to be fair I only used z1 once poor service took ages to reply to questions I always to use czp and have for years .

Well i had a customer order a twinz bumper from CZP in Feb last year,It arrived in November,Covered in cracks with yellow crayon around the damage so they knew it was broken before sending it.I would say each are as bad as each other from my own experience.

I also don’t think you’ll find another supplier of that hatch lip for a while (when CZP get them or it gets copied!), so if you have your heart set on it, I would wait it out! Long waiting times have generally become the norm for the TwinZ products, especially ones that are new to the market.

 

Hi Joel, I am just angry that they didn't bother telling me when I ordered it and the delivery said 5-9 days...... Then I check account to find they added a note saying delivered sometime in June, back order.... actually a 4 month wait!!

 

If I wasn't having her bare metal resprayed in April ready for 30th Anniversary meet I would probably have been okay..... had they actually told me....

 

So I either go ahead with respray without the spoiler or cancel the respray and write off this years meetings...... I started stripping the tailgate and panels Friday ready for spoiler fitting.... now missing paint on tailgate!

 

She looks a mess......

Bad show indeed mate.... Personally, I'd cancel the order and look for a different spoiler. As nice as some of the Twinz stuff is, I just don't think they're geared up to supply on demand - and their retailing agents should know better... You should have been properly informed before buying, for sure.

Been using Z1 for about 15 years. Never had an issue with them and I've spent thousands. I know the owner pretty well and a number of the guys that work there and they've always been very good to me.

 

Sorry you've had an issue.

 

The main part of the issue sadly is with TwinZ deliveries to North America. They're sometimes sporadic at best and many orders are based in pre-orders to get the deliveries. It's not ideal, but sadly that's the way it is. I've met the guys from TwinZ, they're good guys but they're a small outfit and they're trying to service an international community from rather a remote location. Not an excuse, just a reason.

 

Sometimes with these special parts, you just have to wait. I always keep an eye on my order status and make a quick call if I need any further information.

Russ I drove around without a rear spoiler fitted for some months. Didn't stop me attending and enjoying meets in the Z32.

 

The tailgate will need to be smoothed and have the perspex strip fitted for this lip anyway, so you have the option to continue as planned but the car will have a slick bottom for a few months! Then get your painter to do the lip when convenient, so make sure he saves some of the batch of paint that he mixes.

 

That's what I would do in the meantime.

Hi Joel and Andrew, Perspex strip was already fitted.... now removed for spraying....

Now I have stripped the wrap off the tailgate it is primer, bare metal and top coat in patches.....

Clear coat is flaking off all over car now.... so looks like a piece of crap all over...

I’ve seen better paint on a breaker....

 

Hi Si, I haven’t got a problem with TwinZ at all and would be fine if the Z1 website had informed me about it taking 3-4 months back order.

Before I placed the order....

Just unhappy with not being told anything and then assuming I was okay with waiting that long.

All they need to do is put a warning on their website about delays and back orders... simples!!!

I have spoken to TwinZ today and they are trying to see what they can do to help... really good communication and helpful!

Failing getting the spoiler I ordered...., I may have to refit the veilside kit.... :lol::lol:

Well I am now cream crackered........ as TwinZ have come back to me today saying I need to wait till June when Z1 get their delivery in......

 

Or Z1 who have just said wait or cancel the order.........

 

So I am now really contemplating refitting the full Veilside C2 kit to the Z again!!!!

 

Just need to source a pair of genuine Veilside side skirts...... and refit the front bumper and spoiler sitting on my shed roof......

 

Not the more subtle look I was aiming for...... but it would be a look I know I have already lived with since 2001........ See my Avatar..... :lol:

Good luck with that twins are reluctant to send stuff as it is because a trader copied some of their design in the past worth a try thou

If they're waiting on a TwinZ shipment there probably isn't much I can do. I can talk to Victor and Efrain also but as they only ship once every few months, it's probably not going to speed up the process.

Hi Si, it's still live with Z1 as I was hoping that TwinZ may be able to help in some way.... It's just such a shame there's no stock of their products that is more easily accessible for us in the UK.

 

If there is anything you can do to help, it is greatly appreciated. Even if there isn't, thank you for trying in advance....
