Wanting everyone's thoughts. Should I do the roof bars black or leave them body coloured?

I'm completely in 2 minds as I like break up of the black (windows and targas) but then when I look at some to the cars that have done his, I like them too.

I like it on white and yellow 300s. I don’t think I’ve seen it on a blue one before but I’m thinking it would be far less suited to the darker colour 300s.

Maybe someone could photo shop some pictures or, just to get a feel for it, you could ask your local sign shop to wrap them black then paint them properly if you like it.

My thoughts too....

I was going to have mine done in black - but seeing AndrewG's car at the NEC, next to Gary's and Joel's, made me think that mine also look good left blue....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Had my roof bars black now for about 5 or 6 years and haven't looked back.

You could match it to a pair of black original headlights too. ;)

You and your headlights man. My silver ones looked awesome at the NEC. I could however match it to the back panel

IMO, it only works with certain colours, blue not being one of them.

I voted Black...... but have now decided after looking at the photoshop image it isn't right......

As it is Lee's Z...... I think bright pink would suit better for such a big Jessie......:tt2:

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

You cheeky BAzza. I don't think the photoshop is a great image tbh. Looks a little blueish. You know me, I'll just paint it lol. That being said, my best friend has a signage company so I could wrap it completely free to see how it looks

Would you not be better sanding doing correct to the smooth finish? Then wrapping it instead? If your good with the hands, do it yourself or send it to a great specialist

Think I'd be able to do it fairly easily. My plan is to possibly paint the car again and then do the top at the same time. Could be worth painting it. Then wrap. That way it an easy change if I decide I don't like it at any point.

That blue car is stunning who owns it? Where could I see more photos if that's ok?

Thank you kindly Joley for posting the YouTube video. Anyway not trying to be smart or anyway let's get the thread back on track.

I used to do all my Z's with the vinyl black. Only Z's I didn't do in vinyl were the very special ones like the 99 versions or very low mileage UK cars with around 2K 3K etc. I had a few Z's that still had the factory shrink wrap on parts too.

IMO, it only works with certain colours, blue not being one of them.

Still my thoughts, certainly for my own blue Zed - but it's your car Lee; and the Bayside blue is lighter than my TK3, so it will probably look just fine with black roof bars mate...

I think I might give a quick wrap a try and see how it looks and unsafe it here. Then maybe paint it if I like it. Would paint it the same colour as the back lights panel

Hi Bird! No thanks need my friend, really love the car. Have you a name more color code for the paint?

the only other Z's that were the Strosek cars that for me, are just stunning. I even had the convertible versions but; the Strosek car still beautiful. There isn't any version of Z I haven't owned. There is a member on here, that has one of my 99 cars. The other 99 car that 80 miles or 90 miles I think went out of the country. Went to some other country that was also RHD too. I think it went to Austerial. That car had the factory Shrink wrap on it still.
