50th Anniversary Celebration and parade lap at Silverstone (Japfest 5th May 2019)

Hi Guys

I have had an email from Simon Fox @ Nissan asking if we would like to be parts of a big celebration event at Japfest on 5th May 2019.

they are looking to get a large display of Z cars at the event to celebrate 50 years of the Z marque with a parade lap that hopefully will number around 250 cars.

Simon has asked if 300zx.co.uk would be interested in being involved, I'm pretty sure we are !! so for those that want a lap round Silverstone but at a leisurely pootle, (you can book track time and drive much faster if you like), this would be a great day and a chance to be part of a big event. We would also be part of a big static display too so win win all round.

I think this fits in perfectly with our anniversary plans and is a great chance to not only have a great day out but increase the exposure of the club so I for one will certainly be going.

So if you would like to attend lets get a list going.

    That would be great Ian.

    I have been trying to put a big multi vote post together to find out what events people want us to try and attend next year as a club, but have been a bit slow.

    This forces at least one of them :)

    The other is Silverstone Classic in July, which the Z club want to use as the anniversary event.

    What is Simon Fox’s roll at Nissan out of curiosity, it’s nice to see Nissan UK actively acknowledging the heritage model enthusiasts.

     

    Three years ago Simon Fox was the person I liaised with for the Z-Club/300ZX Club attendance at the Nissan experience event

    at Donnington in 2015. In those days he was part of the Nissan Parts Distribution operation.
