Do you guy know a garage in Southend that is not going to go bust, talks the talk and walks away with your money, you get the drift.

Im fed the **** up with cowboys.

You have a specialist car, you need a specialist mechanic. As good as any local Mike might be they won’t have the experience, knowledge and specific tools to to the job. Any garage worth their salt turns that kinda work down, the other kind chooses to have a go and learns at your expense. That’s why your being messed about, with the best will in the world they are learning as they go. You will have to travel to get this experience, which will probably actually be cheaper too, it’s faster when you’ve done it before and it will be done once and right.

In short and without being rude, your not going to find what you want on your door step, it’s not a Corsa.

I was in the same boat here in Ireland, wasted money getting mechanics to "learn" how to work on the Z, still wasn't right and pulled the newly fitted engine. Wasted upwards of €3500 before I just bit the bullet and trailered the car to Jimmer @Powerzed. You just have to get it to the other side of the country . I had to travel across Ireland, catch a ferry and then travel halfway across the UK mate:whistling:. It will still work out cheaper than shelling out a fortune to inexperienced mechanics, who will half ass the car up and be back to square 1.

Jimmer at Powerzed is the only person you should bring this car to:thumbup1:

I did the same. Could of funded a proper rebuild with what I got burnt by and the subsequent cost to correct the shortcomings. Anout 3-3.5k in total.

What about Automodz in Nottingham are they any good?

I believe Mark has moved on from Zs and now concentrates on Focus’.

Pity it's been so long & problems you have had with various garages.

D2 at Strood (Darren) had great knowledge of Zeds, unfortunately he has retired.

You could try ringing Jap Motors Ltd in Hythe Kent & speak to Fabian.

Not known by our forum but he has several Z owners who trust his work.

I need a service on my ex taxi 2010 focus diesel estate, do you think he would take a fiver a week straight from my benefits or do you think if i get my gold chain out of cash converters he could take that instead..Ime really desperate as the school holidays are soon and i need to take all my kids to the zoo:no:

I’m fairly close to you being in Essex and travel to PowerZed as and when I need to for piece of mind. It’s far from convenient but if you don’t want to risk the 10k in parts being wasted, then I suggest you hitch up a new plan and either drive or get it trailered to Jim for a proper job!

Not only will he make sure all those lovely parts are utilised in all the right places, but you can also be confident that they will be reliably pieced together and afford you a happy zedder for many years to come!

To me it sounds like it’s advantage cowboys and you’re on your second serve, don’t get it wrong this time! That was cheesy wasn’t it?

Sound advice there - I'd ship it down to Jimmer too....

There's a good reason Jimmer is so busy at the moment; when it comes to a 300zx, there's just no-one else.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

That’s a bit unfair (in a positive way), there are a handful of people that have knowledge of these cars but none of them have the established reputation of PowerZed and carry too many skeletons!

Edit: although I think I probably misinterpreted the intent of that quote!

I know mate - I could have added a few more words, but thought, best leave it there...

Spelling - I missed off a "k"

Sorry guys, spending £2k on transporting it isn't an option. Theses are the prices I have been given. And if the shit hits the fan again, like I said has happened. I would be £2k down, plus a car plus all the parts and any funds.

Where the hell are you getting that figure from? I transported my Z to Essex from deepest darkest Somerset and it cost be under £200.

GEFCO LTD car & vehicle delivery & transportation service. Sheerness .

They transported my zed from Southampton to Sheerness for £80 give them a call.
