Not sure if we have a detailing thread but I will start this one so if you have any thoughts on different waxes or any cleaning products then post it here and dont forget the pics.

Naviwax is the wax I used today and it gets a 9 out of 10 from me. Very easy to put on and easy to take it off. You put it on in long strips instead of small circles and the results are very shiny.

Wow! So what did you use to achieve that result?

Fast forward to 2021 and ceramic coating is the new craze, so many company's popping up offering this type of protection, the results can be fantastic but expect to pay £600+!!

Thanks, keep this thread updated with how it performs over a length of time, because at £80 it seems very cheap compared to what the pro detailers charge

A lot of the big Youtube car channels are sponsored by Avalon King, and you can get decent discount codes through them e.g. Tavarish, Legitsreetcars. Visit the channel and on each video in the description should be a discount code link.

Driftworks recommended this one to me for my wheels: https://www.carboncollective.com/product/platinum-wheels-ceramic-coating/

I applied it in March this year - absolutely fantastic product which leaves the wheels constantly clean. Makes cleaning them an absolute breeze.  Can be applied to brake callipers which I have also done. Highly, highly recommended.

Good info guys?, will probably try that wheel coating as well because hate what brake dust can do to the barrells of alloys if not cleaned regularly

You are paying for pro detailers time to do the work but if you can do this yourself then thats were you save a lot of money.

Plus there will only be a percentage of people that can machine polish their own cars and then ceramic coat them... I will definitely be having a go at this?
