Hi folks

As I'm sure you are all aware you've seen my project dream turn to dust.

Sadly I'm left with having to break the 300, as u know it's a 1994 UK spec twin turbo with manual gearbox with low mileage.

Some bits have been earmarked by members already but if there is anything you need then I'd rather bits go to the members on this forum rather than random eBay buyers.

Now I'm not a breaker but am a sensible genuine person, I am happy to remove most parts but I won't attempt to remove items that I don't have the skill knowledge or machinery to do so, this will be done by my good friend who is a bmw m3 specialist.

Obviously some parts may come off slow time when he can fit the jobs in.

I am local to biggin hill in kent. 15 minutes from junctions 4 and 6 of the m25 if collection is preferred.

If you are further away then I'm happy to look into postage or a courier service.

Please let me know if anything is of interest.

Regards luke

Yeah, just wanna see from photos if it’ll work. Don’t 100% know if the pump has seized. Still

Testing as there is no savage squeal when it’s on.

Probably More likely the clutch than the actual pump. Relay is good. Idler is good. Switch engages. But the clutch doesn’t. Just asking so I can see what one it is/if any parts are interchangeable (as they are on some cars/bits like the relay)

Thanks.

How do you know all this stuff Andrew??? It baffles me what some of you guys know about these cars.:thumbup1:

Yep it is on the car for now. I will work out where and remove it along with the next round of stuff

Hi there. Yep it's in great condition. I'll get it out and send you photos

Hi Deegan......Looking forward to photo & Price !

Hi.

I've been told they sell for £250 now and are getting quite hard to find.

I was going to get it indoors and 're polish it.

Delivery wise when it's off I can get a quote from a courier for you

That's way too cheap. Not too sure who told you that. MONGOOSE systems are fairly rare and a quality product. You should be getting close to £400 for that.

The cost to do the work on a wheel doesnt directly feed into what the wheels worth. like cars. Your modifcation costs dont add value to the car necessarily.

Im back ill send you through this document now

Why are you bringing up refurb costs on a wheel that absolutely does not need it!?

I didn't bring up recovering, slick Pete posted the costs for recovering a wheel in response to what a steering wheel is worth!

I cant help but feel Deegan has been taken advantage of after reading this thread.I have been speaking with him and to say he is getting low balled is an understatement.Whoever told him a Mongose exhaust is worth £250 now is on cloud cuckoo.

I hope he does his own research on prices along with any quotes from here Jim. But its up to Luke on how he sells and at what price.

Well i assure you Gary i will be putting him straight on a few prices. As for doing his own research, its like asking an old lady to know the value of her dead husbands old Mk2 Cortina with 25k on the clock ....Hes a newb and people know it.

Thanks for your help Jim, Luke will need it. When I said doing research on prices I meant checking out ebay and other sites for similar parts to gauge a price.

I suggested to Luke that the Mongoose would be worth £250, I genuinely had no idea that these were now fetching in the region of £400! I paid £200 for mine but that was 10 years ago now, at the time they were £450 new.

Looking back through the classifieds, there have been a handful of these sold in the last couple of years but they have all been in the £200 region. The last one sold by Banzai Breakers was £275.

Not easy pricing parts now JP and they are certainly going up as parts are getting harder to find. I guess its all down to supply and demand and the cheaper you sell the quicker you sell.

Hi Luke,

Can you tell me what style and condition the rear spoiler is if you still have it please?

Some pictures would be great to show style and any bad bits that may be on it.

Many thanks, Rex

Hello. Apologies for the very late response.

I believe the spoiler is of no use as it has suffered water ingress, it's an original foam type
