Sadly this is quite common in some countries, there’s lots of footage of people jumping out in front of cars to get run over for the pay out. I’m not a big fan of dash cams but I can see why they can have their merits.

All my cars have dash cams, Transcend 220 with wifi, wired into the fuse boxes so that they are always on. They have been worth there weight in gold, twice my wife has needed the footage people people being dangerous and once for me it caught someone trying to break into the car. Also quite a bit of the footage ends up on operation crackdown as people in Eastbourne can not drive (wrong way round roundabouts, driving down wrong side of road because they don't want to sit in queues, general road rage - I've seen three guys pull someone out of their car because he cut them up). Maybe I'm use to driving vehicles with at least 11 cameras on them, but I feel naked when I drive without cameras now

The first one that jumps onto the bonnet of my car looking for injuries will know about it, because I’ll get out and make sure they’re injured properly, might as well get my money’s worth

This is my 300zx. my brother found the video on youtube by chance and was showing me all the comments of people believing i was part of the scam!

Was only broken down for 2 minutes! i hadnt rolled the car back from the junction as:

A)there were already cars coming up the hill and would have caused a bit of confusion.

B) i knew the car would get going again fairly quickly.

I think the van panicked as someone wanted to turn into that lane and reversed without looking.

I can understand what your saying, driving is a massive part of my living to and there’s lots of idiots out there. Only thing is I tend to notice a lot of these idiots have dash cams, it’s kinda like these things keep happening to them which they think is everyone else’s fault, so they’ve invested in a dash cam to vindicate their beliefs. I’ll tell you a story if/when I see you about a bellend, his dash cam and me and my company imposed tracker.

Come on, this sound too good. Tell us or I’ll start a post about Love Island. :death:

You know, playing devil's advocate, I kind of subscribe to your point of view too Steve!! Sure dashcams have their benefits - but it's like those damn "baby on board" stickers.... They were supposed to be for the emergency services to quickly identify there was a small person inside a crashed vehicle. However it seemed that all the bad drivers also suddenly started to display them in their cars; just so that other road users might excuse their bad driving, instead of taking responsibility for their own child, whilst driving.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

It’s not really one for a public forum but let’s just say they had a loose grip on how roads work and the ability of 90hp van.

Pretty much yeah. There are people in this world that seem to be permanently the victim, they never seem to question if they are masters of thier own destiny. I’m sure we’ve all met the person that complains they are always bullied, when what they really mean is; I’m a bit of **** and sooner or later people loose thier patience and tell me so. Personally I’m fully aware I’m a flawed human being and I’m ok with it.

Agree on the baby stickers Richard and all you have said..Its like them other knob jockeys who "wear" there profession on the rear parcel shelf for some bizarre reason, usually the old bill with a coppers coat or architects with big hard hats and surveying paraphernalia...I mean you never find a baker with 10 loaves of bread stuffed in the back of his car do you?

This I can believe, I feel it is the same with cyclists with cameras. Sometimes it feels like they purposefully put themselves into situations where they can get "good" footage to be uploaded.

To quote a few others in this thead:

I don't understand the baby on board sticker... Why drive like a **** with your baby/kids/wife on board anyway? How would you feel knowing you were the one killing/maiming them?

The other one I don't understand are van drivers driving like idiots while they have their company name splashed all over the van. They are a 20ft moving adverts and yet they will overtake dangerously, cut you up and give you the finger while doing so. There are quite a few companies in and around Eastbourne I have sworn never to use because of they way I have seen/be treated on the road by them...
