Hi all.

Thought I'd drop in & introduce myself.

I have a 1992 Nissan Gloria Y32 Gran Turismo.

It has the VG30DET engine & an auto gearbox.

From what I have researched the chassis has a lot of the same components as the 300zx.

The car is very distinctive in that it has a full junction produce bodykit & a Eurospec conversion fitted by a company in Japan called IMC.

The car was imported back in 2007 & I am only the 2nd UK owner.

The car sits on Custom Bilstein coilovers & Intensive Hunk alloys measuring 18x9 et10 & 18x10 et-3.

I have so far fitted bride reclining seats on homemade seat rails & a nardi dished wheel with Driftworks snap off boss.

I intend on pulling the engine & box to convert the car to a manual set up & rebuild the engine. It currently has the standard T3 turbo with CUSTOM intercooler pipework with a blitz core & an Apexi filter.

I have removed loads of unnecessary vacuum lines & plan on removing the breather system with a catch can.

The manifold has 2 throttle bodies exiting to the side. The original bov was cut off & the intercooler piped in to that position. I plan on changing that up for a neater design.

This is mine when I 1st bought the car. I have tidied it up a lot since then.

There is a bit of room between the turbo & the chassis so I'd like to have a topmount set up eventually with upgraded injectors, wide band afm & link ecu.

Yeah I meant the exhaust manifold, but still looks like theres not alot of room in there, not for anything substantial anyway.

I take it you can do pretty much the same deletes and tidying in there.

Ah sorry.

It's an odd set up. The turbo is on the passenger side manifold that leads to an elbow, then a downpipe. On this pipe is a T piece. On the drivers side is a manifold with a downpipe that runs round the back of the engine & over the gearbox bellhousing to the T piece on the passenger side.

I'll try & get some pics next time it's in the air.

I knew I recognised it, off of driftworks.

Yeah id love to see the manifold. Could be a future mod to the vg30dett if its manageable.

Thanks for the kind welcome. For some reason I am unable to post more pics of my project. I've contacted the forum to fund out why.

Cool car! That sounds like the setup on the z31 turbo

Have I gone mad, I can't see any ignition stuff

Found a great shot of a VG30DET vg30det2.jpg

It must just be under those trim strips :)

Did a bit of digging on the car & found it has an aftermarket or chipped ecu unsure which but it's labelled impul.

I'd like to start a build thread but unsure what seems to to add it too?

I think you will find that the Impul ECU is a bit like most of the jap ones, like Mines etc. In that it’s for a higher octane fuel and not overly suitable in the UK. The block itself looks like the VG30DE found in late Z31s, Gloria’s, Leopards etc. Be interesting to see exactly what it is, do we know if it’s turbo from factory?

Impul did make a full tuned version, but looks like yours just has the ECU. Timing and fueling changed iirc.

NM that! Fancy seeing you here!

Err, more like fancy seeing you here!

I'm still around :) , wanted to see what happened to my poor old Z, seems it got mistreated and broke in the end which sucks as i put so much time and effort into that car.

I still have my S15, running 421BHP currently fully forged with a TD06, but enough of this, i'll stop spamming Ians thread!

If there are some meets i'll keep my eye out and pop down to say hello :)

That's amazing I didn't know they made tuned versions. I had a quick Google but couldn't find any interior shots
