Since Suddesh's thread about favourites, I heard one of my most hated tunes earlier, Elton John's AWFUL 'are you ready for love' tune?

 

This is probably the WORST tune IN THE WORLD.

By far the worst. Not even going to link the video because I don't want it in my Youtube History.

Without. Being too much of an old man, pretty damn well near everything in the charts currently. It’s seriously dire. It seems the 90s brands like Ellese and Fila’s comeback has brought the “R&B” shite with it.

Most chart stuff is awful. Souless soul music with autotune. Cher started that autotune craze off with her awful 'I believe' track (one of the most over played tunes this millenia) and now most artists use it and it's quite frankly a crock of shite. Dreary dreary crap.

That stupid song about Havana. It gets stuck in my head every time Heart play it and being Heart they only have 10 songs on a loop so I heard it a lot :mad::mad::mad:

I literally can’t deal with these radio stations, radio 1 is bad enough but these cut price scripted local ones with 8000 adverts per hour. I’d rather listen to a baby crying on loop!

We have yet to have kids, trying, but no luck yet. However after what I have seen on my buses I wonder why people want them sometimes...I also wonder why some people are allowed to have them!

 

I also should add that anything by Justin beiber needs to be on this list/thread!

How true Steve...if i get hassled by a customers dog that wont stop jumping up or trying to sniff my balls i find a smart tap on its snout normaly sorts them out. One of my hates is a dirty slobbering dog jumping up when the stupid owners think its oh so cute:mad:

Autotune and voicelifts can work - Cynic did some pretty interesting stuff. They just don't make up for a lack of talent.

I used to date a bird, years back, who’s family had a boxer. The damn thing jumped at you for about an hour every time I got there. They were a bunch of leftie ****s that’s refused to discipline it, thing was nuts. I have my own dog and he is trained, I can’t stand when other people’s dogs get in my stuff. I flat out refuse to fish on public land these days because of dog walkers.

Agreed with Richard! Absolute 80s and Planet Rock are my favourite. Also listen to Jazz Radio and Radio 4 (for programmes like 'A life scientific' and the very good 'Infinite monkey cage').

Sadly planet rock starts to suffer once you go much further west than home. It can be patchy at times here. Mostly listen to R4 because I can’t stand adverts and with the long hours on the road I do it’s more engaging or I can just switch off.

It's not as good as it was, since Planet Rock changed their broadcasting frequencies, I concur... Although it's not just the SE, where the signal is good. I had perfect reception from home to York late last year - and when heading to Cornwall in Julia's car in December, it was fine well into Devon, perhaps even as far as the Tamar. I switched over to Absolute when Planet Rock was no more and left it there for the rest of the week with no issues. Except in Boscastle harbour area - no radio reception at all down there....!!

LOL - Ed Sheeran, I'd forgot about him. He's THE single most over-rated act of the 21st Century...:lol: I can't see what all the fuss is about - at best he's just dull, at worst depressing. If that's what's passing for talent nowadays, then I'm glad to be a dinosaur.....:biggrin:

 

Also, let's add all the "boy"/"girl" bands of the 90s, 00s and today... Boyzone, Girls Aloud, The Spice Girls et al. Anything from [so-called] talent shows; from Simon Cowell's label, 95% of Heart Radio's playlist.... The drivel goes on and on. Bland, boring, repetitive........

I think the “remarkability” as it’s perceived about Shearan is that his guitar isnt a prop. It’s a sad state of affairs that an “artist” is remarkable because they can actually play an instrument. I guess you don’t have to be all that outstanding when your competition is Cheryl Cole.

Boscastle is like a radio blackout zone. I wonder if any of them businesses pay any tax as the government probably doesn’t even know they’re there!

 

Beautiful town though and the SW costal path from there to Tintagel is breathtaking, I discovered the Rocky Valley on that route last year. [emoji41]
