So I need to replace the tyres on my 300 and while I'm at it I might as well give the wheels a refurb while the tyres are off. I thought I'd get the opinions of you guys to see what you would do.

I've had black chrome before and a bright silver and I've like both those colours. I'm toying with the idea of the oil slick look. Oh and before anyone points out that I'm meant to be returning to standard, sticking the standard wheels against that paint job would look terrible in my opinion and I'm not doing the paint until the rest of the car is finished.

As much as I love black wheels, with the colour of your car I think you almost need a light coloured wheel to compliment the paint. I think with a dark coloured wheel would take away from the paint rather than compliment it.

A nice clean and bright silver with a diamond cut lip would be my choice

Some sort of gold/brass colouring? I think that would suit your paint.

Leave them exactly as they are or do them a shadow chrome. Bronze and black wheels often look dirty even when they're not and black wheels are just totally non descript.

Lurid colours like red, green etc will make you you like a wannabe drifter or chav.

White wheels look a little cheap.

Play it safe and play it clean and sharp imo.

Agree ^^^^^^

After asking the same question myself a short time ago - and receiving the same answers - I too have to concur....

And just to finish things off, get the car lowered by 20-25mm too..... Makes one hell of a difference; Meister-R coilovers are a great upgrade:wink:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
