I have been conspicuous by my absence but am still driving my Z. Now the argy-bargy of house-hunting, selling and buying is starting to settle down (we hope to evict the decorators and move in Feb) I may have a tad more time to be grumpy in this forum!

Morning Rich. Yes, we've swapped A380s and 747s whistling past overhead for an island that's got 3 breweries and over 180 pubs. And while I can't compete with JeffTT's sunset, here's a couple from this week.

Haven't seen any other Zs of any model but have been pointed at by a couple of teenagers and had someone say "nice Fairlady" in the Co-op car park :)

Nice one Mike - so we now have another Islander in the club; as Graham (Groover) lives in Ryde....:cool:

 

I do like the Island and try to visit every year. I shall drop you a line next time we're over, so we can meet in one of those pubs...:wink:

Yup - he's lived there for years....!! We usually meet up with Graham and Julie at The Boat House pub in Seaview - good location and nice food. Apart from that lobster that took its revenge on me a couple of years ago...:lol:

 

And yes, I do usually come over in the Zed, so it would certainly be a good excuse for a mini-Zed meet....:cool:

.....Also, on the subject of breweries, there is also a distillery (which I believe is owned by one of the breweries). Their Mermaid Gin is one of the nicest gins I have tried in a long time!!

We used to pop over there for a meet with quite a few cars

I’ve been considering that, it’s just a bloody expensive ferry lol. Plus I have anxiety that I wouldn’t get on/off due to the rude height.

i’m up for an iow meet as well. a nice weekend away, sounds like another club event to plan :-)

@ Gary, there's quite a lot of Nissans over here already but they seem to be Micras with a 24mph speed limiter and compulsory hats.

@ groover, that would seem to be a good target for an Island meet "see the yellow peril moving again" so set the date... :D (the first pic from Wootton where we're renting until the house is ready and the 2nd pic from a walk along Colwell Bay).

Ill be up for an IOW meet. I was conceived over there while my mum and dad were running Sandown YHA, so have always been attached to the place. Let me know when it will be and Ill let you all see my new red car :lol:
