1. My white 300 looks cool with iced up windows and snow on the bonnet !

2. Anyone see Top Gear gut the Jag to lower 0-60 times ?

3. Fastest car round Top Gear circuit was a lightweight one with modest engine wasn't it ?

4. I read that 200SX's are very fast midrange, so their 0-60 times are a bit misleading if you race one from a rolling start. Probably something to do with turbo lag.

5. I want a 1000BHP Bugatti, but can't afford one :( :D

That extra mass of ice may cost you valuable nano seconds in your 0 - 60 times.:D :D

Won't the ice help with aerodynamics though?- Making it more 'slippery' :D

Dave

no, I raced a stock 200sx from 40 and massacred it,

a zed in 2nd gear at a 40mph rollling start is something to fear.

can't drive the zed today, i don't want to go out in the snow heh

Where IS all this snow and why is none of it round 'ere? :(

Well, there's plenty of it down here in Shandy-Land, Anita!!:D :D

My battery's knackered so I couldn't go out if I wanted to, but to be honest - I think the car's better on the drive for now ... discretion is the better part and all that!;)

Did you have an overwhelming urge to get your skis on then?:)

Mine was spinning up just from going from neutral to drive! (not accelerating) back end comes round nice though!

Have an overwhelming urge to have a snowball fight. :D

There's no' even a flake o'the white stuff here in Worcester.. :( Or in Redditch, for that matter.

Going to have a temper tantrum, I think. :D :D ;)

Can't wait for the snow, we're gonna get a dinghy & go down some big hills bwahahaha

Have an overwhelming urge to have a snowball fight.

Well, you'll just have to get your skates on (no pun intended) and get down to Kent sharpish - 'cos it doesn't look like it's going to stick around long.:D

2hrs to get to work this morning, instead of 30 mins, but at least had the pleasure of watching the schoolkids ambushing each other with snowballs!! Great fun, those far off days .... ho, hum.:)

Big time novelty value for me this morning :D Running around makeing snow angles lol.... hope its going to snow for the rest of the week and then blizzard for the rest of the month :D

Snow angles Warren? Did you use a set square?

Sorry, couldn't resist :D

There was snow in Slough too, and they don't salt/grit the roads in the bit I live in - so that made getting to work interesting..

Nothing being gentle with the right foot couldn't handle, though - fortunately!

I like your car John-Boy ;)

There was a shape of the plenium chamber of melted ice on my bonnet. It looked really strange, but cool at the same time.

FFS! if you want to gut it, then gut it. But personally I like rear seats, I like carrying a spare wheel, I like the electric front seats, I like the air conditioning, I like the T-tops, I like carpets and I like sound deadening. All I know is my car spins in 1st all the time, and some times in 2nd. Make it lighter and straight line traction will go down the drain.

BORING!!!!!!!!

YAWN! Horses for courses. Whats the race up to? From rolling start to 50? To 100? To 150? To 180? first to do a mile? cos the SX will only have a chance to 50.

Why having good mid range make the 0-60 misleading?

Thought you said that BHP isnt everything that light weight is better.

Gee thanks Glen ... does it look eerily familiar at all??

As it happens, I like it too, but since I've only had it since Christmas Eve, and the weather's been wet or frozen, I haven't really got to "know it" yet .. if you know what I mean.

It looks kinda cool with icicles and snow and all:)

Much as it pains me to agree with the mass obsessed one, he has got a point on this one. What you lose in down force, you gain in having to add less momentum to the vehicle in order to accelerate. Weight = mass * g. Momentum = mass * velocity. It's this momentum that you have to change in order to accelerate. What you gain on the swings, you lose on the roundabouts.

It seems the ma** subject is more controversial than Auto vs. Manual !!;)
