Long time no post, But it was great to meet up with the guys on the club stand yesterday and do a bit of reminiscing with Joely P, Groover and IanL. All the cars were looking great and a real credit to the club.

A great show as always but you need your best walking boots on as its a big show. Car of the show for me was this stunning Studebaker, it must have looked very futuristic in its day and this car had been restored to a very high standard, Superb.....:tt1:

Answer on a postcard regarding the window bullet..? all the old farts like me will know the answer...:sailor:

Air conditioning unit.......does that mean im old????

Spent most of the day at the show today, what a fantastic array of cars.

My daughter and I planned it so as to spend the last hour at our 300zx stand, what a great idea that was. (wish we could have stayed longer, we really do!)

I know there has been discussions about the cars that should or shouldn't be representing the club, but I would like to draw attention to the owners.

When my daughter and I arrived at the stand, our welcome was outstanding to say the least.

So I would like to thank them all for making our day really special, it was a pleasure to chat with you guys, it really was. (so much so we nearly missed our train home)

Big thanks guys,... Joel, Graham, Craig, Simon (Mondo), to name but a few. I also met 2 or 3 new faces who also gave me a warm welcome. (apologies, but I cannot recall your names, I'll do some research and amend later)

Well done you guys, brilliant.

Thanks Alic.. It was indeed Ash and Ian.

Also Jaikai.

Wish I had allowed myself more time now.

A great weekend again, the cars and owners did us proud and having one of each zed variant to show got some confused looks from a few people we clocked, trying to work out the difference  and all looked truly stunning under the lights

Great company and had a few laughs with the guys, especially Mondo (Si) and one conversation regarding how you imagine in your mind how a member looks, going off forum names and posts etc..

An interest also from a couple of Jap and classic car magazines wanting to do an article involving the Z32, could be some good exposure in the coming year for the zed

Will post up some pics later when im organised lol

I got home just after 9pm and I had a great weekend! Long days but the company was superb, the laughs came thick and fast and the public seemed to really appreciate our cars. FAO Joel and Groover: the performance of my wipers was very different on the drive home!!

Really good to be able to put a face to Groover's name and have some proper chuckles with him, and also really good to be able to get to know Craig, Joel, Ash, Ian, Lee, Richard, Julie and Julia a little better. Great company for me.

Big thanks to Phutumsch, Bones, Redwine (and others I probably missed) for coming over and chatting over the weekend. It honestly was a great experience for me.

Some highlights? It's surprising how many people have one of these cars tucked away in their garage... also surprising that the Supra was known as the 300ZX in Japan ()... both Joel and myself had genuine (???) offers to buy our respective cars... and brown leather Recaros look surprisingly good in a Z32 (:xxx: )...

Anyway, enough waffling. Thanks again to everyone that made the weekend what it was and a heartfelt thank you for being given the opportunity to display my old Datsun at such a prestigious event!!

How much do I love these cars!! I've never seen an Opel GT in the flesh until now, and there's a considerable amount of want involved!
