The rebuild has finally started today and so far in a few hours I've managed to completely strip the interior.

 

 

 

Next job on my list is to get both the bumpers, tailgate and bonnet off.

 

After that i'll work on the body panels and stripping down the engine.

Yeh, 

Well the black pully that attaches to the water pump. 

We update on my water pipes which i sent off to get polished.

Should be getting pics back shortly of the plenum too.

Throttle bodies assembled again. 

Also added a few spare shims as it actually lines up the springs better. 

 

Few more bolts missing so on the hunt again.

Issue with the water stat being the wrong model so need to wait again before I fit the water pipes.

Yes, couple of spares.

Water Temperature Stat showed up yesterday so managed to fit the water pipes.

 

Also as the engine was off the stand and on the home run i managed to get the fly wheel on and torqued then the clutch.

Now we have a complete build ready to go.

Just need to work out the vac pipes for the turbos and where i'm going to locate the actuator for them.

Starting to fit all accessories to the engine and got to the alternator loom which I stupidly forgot to fit when the engine was on the stand. 

So had to remove it again to plug in and bolt on the loom. 

This was a pig of a job.
