  • And they have arrived !

  • After the oil got contaminated and slightly washed down with fuel the turbos also ceased up. I decided to strip them and do the rebuild myself as the costs for that at the moment to be done profe

  • Well that was a quick trip, planned to stay to Thursday but unfortunately had to come back earlier.   At least Jimmer now has all parts to start an engine build.   Hopefully we wil

Time to plan the interior but i'll be needing a few replacement panels before I start.

Looks like when the interior was up the loft the rear side panels have decided to shrink at the top.

My first thought was just to do the full thing in Alcantara as close to the original oem design but that

means I now require two panels with perfect undamaged panels.

I would like all the panels to match so I was thinking to swap things about do black leather on all the lower

panels and alcantara on the upper parts, but that would mean leather all the way round and under the dash

which i'm not sure on.

The plastic trim on the door cards are reasonable quality .

Has anyone seen the rear panels redone top and bottom ?

Any examples or ideas I could think on.

Or you could just get the tops of your rear quarters trimmed in a vinyl (or leather) that's close enough to the OEM colour and finish to be indistinguishable...

i never realised there was so many parts to the targas till i decided i wanted to wrap the black trim in carbon fibre lol

looks great cant wait to see it

That's the squib/clock spring i have Lee, please confirm that it connects underneath with a rectangular brown plug, i think i can just see it.

Whilst you're at this stage, please show me the plug for connection to the wheel and also the back of your steering wheel, thanks Lee :).

Looks amazing Lee  .....but have you really cut a big hole in your dash? Please tell me it's not for one of those ugly gauge pods..... :(

That was a dash from 5 years ago, apart from the hole in the middle its the best one I have.

Currently looking for one without a hole.

I did have gauges in that location but going back to oem I ditched them all,

I did have another dash that originally came from this zed but it wasn't up to scratch and was damaged at all the bolt locations.

Can they still be purchased new ?

A whole dash without a hole. Good man! I'll keep my eyes open too. :)

Not sure. They were still listed about 12 months ago and were nearly £1kea from memory.

Not had an update for a while as I've been busy with work and other stuff.

Things have slowed down considerably on my build the last few months but news

that my interior will be ready shortly is getting my heart racing again.

Apart from the interior the engine needs sorted and I've cleaned the heads as best

I could but I've decided to get them cnc'd and make them like new again.

Fee pics of them before I send them off, they look clean enough but there is alot

Of bur marks across the surface which needs sorted first.
