What are people using these days? I need some.

I always liked fallen 452's but they don't sell em these days so I'm wondering what people use. Not after the most expensive in the world like

I agree Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetrics. More expensive than Falkens Lee but so worth it for their wet performance alone.

Pirelli PZEROS a close second just as good as the Eagles in the dry but the eagles just edge them in the wet in my experience. Also the Pirellis don't clear the arches as well as the Eagles I have had 265 PZEROS on the back and they rub but the eagles have a different sidewall shape and clear ok. I hear good things about the continental sport contacts too.

I have found mid range tyres to not be a great choice for the zed in the wet having had a few close moments using Toyo's in the past so i now just go straight for the F1 Eagles the car will thank you for it.

I'm using Continental sport contact 5's... Really happy with them in the wet and dry too!!

I have Bridgestones on the front & Nankangs on the back.

When I got the z it had the same set up so I just changed them last year for the same.

Pirelli's on mine, holds the road well in the wet to:)

Thanks everyone. Bit of food for thought here. Will have to look through the pricing, I have 275/35/18's which seems a pricy size anyway

If you want to stick with Falkens the 453 replaced the 452.

Eagle assym 2's seem to be a good price at the moment as the assym 3 came out a little while back. Personally hate Pirelli's. Had P zero rosso's on my first Z and they were aweful in the wet.

If you can stil find Bridgestone S02's then snap them up, amazing tyre, by far the best I've had.... Sadly they don't make them any more'and the replacements were just sooooo soft it wasn't worth buying them

I guess it's a cost v benefit thing. I only do around 3k a year at the minute but I would use the car in any weather and I don't horse the car around.

I found the 452's a good all rounder for the cost, so that's what I'm after, something good but doesn't have to be the best out there if that makes sense.

Have a look at these as you wanted mid priced performance tyres. I've found that they

are really rather good tyres (coming from Bridgestone SO2 and Toyo T1S).

In 275/35/18 you could have

Hankook Ventus s1 £256.60

Toyo T1S £240.80

Falken FK453 £222.80

All on http://www.camskill.co.uk/m61b0s333p0/Car_Tyres_-_MPV_Tyres_-_People_Carrier_Tyres_-_18_inch_R18_inch_-_275_35_18_275_35R18

But if you have Hankooks up front, I'd personally go for the matching set

Doh my maths failed me there, Hankooks would be £251.60

Michelin Pilot Sport 4s.

I've had Continentals and Pirellis, but these are the best in wet and dry.
