It was,nt untill the game finnished that i noticed they were the english players...thought they were the groundsmen in white shirts having a kick about:crying: Then after the game our dear Roy throwing the towel in even before post match interviews had me feeling sick with shame for this country..What a week to be english:(

WALES are still there!

They are and fully deserved too...lets hope they can go forward:yes:

I'm English and will be supporting Wales to progress now, good luck to them. We are just not good enough, too over rated. Come on Wales.

Agreed. They seem hungry for it and really hope they do Britian proud. We could do with something positive.

I think Belgium will have too much for us this time after seeing their play in their last match....BUT we did take 4 points off them in qualifying group so fingers crossed!

I hate football and the whole culture that follows in its wake.....

......But, even as an Englishman, from the moment I saw the embarrassing behaviour of the English crowds in France (regardless of who started it), I decided I was going to give Wales my support!

dewch ymlaen Cymru

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I don't like football either but I have to admit that my interest is growing with this national team. First time in many years with had such good players.

We'd have thrashed them one - nil. Only one nil I asked and he said Yes, mosty of us are in our seventies now, we have to be careful.

sorry I've buggered it up and I can't alter the post. try again

I spoke to Bobby Charlton after the match and asked him how the Old England cup winning team would have fared against Iceland. He replied, We'd have thrashed them one - nil. Only one nilk I asked and he said Yes, most of us are in our seventies now, we have to be careful.

You can pick that mic up again.....

I came back from Germany last night and was lucky enough to have lunch with the German captain, Uwe Seeler that England beat back in the 1966 World Cup (my new company are a sponsor of HSV Hamburg of which he played) and he is regarded one of the greatest players in German football.

Now, I have absolutely zero interest in football, but it was a pretty awesome thing to be part of.
