I bought one, was gonna fit it but the fitment is just horrible. I have read nothing but good things about these on the Internet so that's why I bought it.

Anyone here had problems with them?

Yup, Joely has a type 1. Mine will also have a type 1 at some point by the end of the year.

Hmmm, I hope the quality of the twinz gear isn't winding down now they have established a good reputation. I bought my type 1 in the original group buy so it would've been one of the first few out of the mould.

When I offered it up to the car, the fitment was near perfect. Tenfold better than the OEM fitment and various other aftermarket replicas I had tried. Not only did it fit great but the quality of the materials and construction was very good in comparison to other aftermarket fibreglass products available. It definitely feels like a premium product.

When my bodyshop painted it, they said that it will require no fitment prep or alteration whatsoever, other than sanding down a fine casting line from the mould. Sure enough when I bonded it on, it fit like a glove! A very rewarding component to fit when rebuilding the car.

I bought it from conceptzperformance, I asked if they where selling a counterfeit product as a buddy of mine bought the exact same wing and had the exact same fitment issues I have suggesting the wings came from the same mold. But coz says they don't sell anything fake and only genuine twinz products, both twinz and czp says this is the first time they have ever heard about fitment issues with these wings.

I'm pretty pissed having paid close to $400 for this pos. And I already removed my oem wing which was so rotted it broke in half when I removed it, so no my car is wingless and looks like it has scabies...

Still awaiting a reply from coz as they where gonna testfit some wings they had in stock...

I might run down to the garage with my one and test fit it, just to see if it was a bad batch, is yours the type 1 or 2??

Type 1

I've never heard of anyone else having fitment issues with their products. Imagine it's just a one-off?

No the weird thing is a buddy of mine has the same wing and he had the exact same fitment problems as I have.

I got this from twinz now:

We test all the wings before getting them shipped, so we think it could be a problem from the storage or the shipping process from CZP to Europe.

Maybe the wing has been distorted during the shipping and the easiest way to fix that problem is by using a heat gun to warm up the material and get the wing back into the right shape. Any experienced bodyshop could do it for a better result.

Got reply from coz now, their wing had a little gap too, and with three persons holding it down fitment is as it should but still, THREE grown men forcing it down is that what you would call good fitment?!

Link is in my second post, I'll have to get on a pc to get the pics from coz

Spiff's is a type 2 - JP's is a type 1....Might be worth having a chat with someone on one of the Facebook pages who's already fitted a type 2.
