Joined in on a classic car show today at my old stomping grounds and the weather was amazing.

Trabants have to be the worst cars built by man. These are terrible on a truly epic proportion; my mother's side of the family are Hungarian and my Uncle Yani had one during the communist era that he kept locked up in his garage. He still has it I think at his home in Nyiregyhaza which isn't too far from the Ukrainian border. He was the fortunate one being a (then considered) high ranking civil servant.

 

They're made of a nasty papiermache / plastic composite powered by the nastiest 2-stroke engine.

 

They have historical importance, but as a vehicle, it makes for a real epic tranche du merde!

We all got caught off guard - as everyone turned up in there wellies expecting for the worse then bam it was boiling hot.

Not wasting them on the current shell until its fully done up.

 

Also they wont fit without my arches being tucked and a few suspension pieces changed.
