After almost 9yrs of ownership and unparalleled enjoyment of my Zed, I’m finally calling time. It wasn’t an easy decision but I feel the time is right to let someone else take it on and enjoy it as much as I have. I’ve learned a hell of a lot during my time with it and have numerous friends and stories as a result of owning it.

This is one of the original SE Nissan 300zx’s and even featured in their parts catalogue (scanned copies provided with sale). The car has also appeared in a Max Power DVD as a feature car (‘Max Power: Hardcore Tarmac Terrorists’) whilst owned by a previous owner.

The car is in very good mechanical condition with Jimmer at PowerZed giving it the all clear following a visual inspection and a check on ConZult. All mechanical work worth mention has been completed by PowerZed. All bodywork since I’ve owned it has been carried out by Custom Exotics. A lot of money and time has been spent on the car, some details below with more available on request. I have full records of all work carried out with all receipts, etc.

The car has been mapped on a dyno and has a proven 547fwhp at 19psi with 508ft lbs. I’ve listed as much as I can below. More details are available on request.

Bad points

With full disclosure in mind, the following points are the ones that I am currently aware of. None are insurmountable but worth mentioning:

Although the seats are original and date back to 1990 they are in a reasonably good condition and are still quite supportive. The exception to this is the driver’s side bolster which has a large hole in it through which the frame is showing. Should be a fairly straightforward part to switch out with a good condition spare/breaker

The fibreglass bodywork has a few areas that need attention - this is largely from grounding on raised surfaces (speed bumps etc)

The aftermarket oil pressure gauge is not working - this is likely just down to the aftermarket sender having failed. The stock gauge functions correctly

The passenger side window needs adjusting so that it sits more flush with the targa rubber. At the moment it can let in some water in a downpour however I keep the car garaged and rarely drive it in the rain so it hasn’t been a priority for me

Think that about covers it. I'd love for it to go to someone from the club who will pick up where I've left of and keep it going for years to come. Any questions, please ask / PM me.

Still up for sale - lowering price to £8k ono....get in touch if you might be interested. Would rather it go to an enthusiast from the club!

SE Nissan is an acronym for Silvia Engineering. A Z specialist in the late 90s - mid 2000s headed by Pete Rosenburg. They developed a number of styling accessories as well as engine reworks. Well known by old-skool Z-heads, but not so much by you younger crowd! lol

I first learnt about SE from Gran Turismo 2! or was it 3? one of them...

1990 Black MT NA LWB = 2014 - 2020 (Sold)

1991 Red MT TT LWB = 2015 - 2017 (Stripped & Scrapped)

1991 Red MT TT LWB = 2017 - 2021 (Sold)

1991 Black MT TT LWB = 2018 - 2021 (Sold)

1989 Red AT TT LWB = 2021 - XXXX (Kept)

Bump - still for sale!

Anyone any idea how I amend the details at the top of the listing?? Price, etc?

It might be worth trying to find a better driver's seat as the one that's in really ruins the overall finish of the car!

A fair point but I'm offering discounts to cover. Plus it's only the rich bolster that needs replacing as the rest of the seat is still in fairly good shape and in line with the rest of the interior.

In any case - looking to offer more discounts to get it sold now Just need to find a way to edit the listing.

I get that. But you're asking serious top-end money for a car which has, at first glance, a tatty interior - irrespective of how good the rest of the cabin might look, the first thing people will notice is the ruined driver's seat.

It may have superb mechanicals and a top engine build, but unfortunately that seat spoils the whole appearance of the car.

Bump - and price adjusted at Vig's request.....

....Come on folks - this is a great Zed and now it's a steal at the price Vig has lowered it to....

GLWS mate:cover:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
