I am officially gutted, Prince was one of my musical heros as a teenager.

I loved his music and the fact he was such an original individual albeit a little eccentric, cant believe the news :scared:

A sad loss, a musical genius and innovator. Incredible live show and such a backlog of songs we can all place a time we heard it.

This is the biggest celebrity loss that I am truly sorry to hear and hits me personally. Gutted just doesn't say enough.

Loved his music since hearing his first album, For You, as a kid when i just turned 9, long before purple rain album hit the airwaves.

Lifelong fan.

No choice but to complete my back catalogue now, as I had been a bit slack and have a few gaps.

Shocking! just clicked the Beeb website and found the news, don't jump to conclusions over his death, he recently had a hip operation and was hoping to start a European tour later this year...Blood clots are not uncommon in these types of ops. either way he was a music groundbreaker, i saw him at the O2 over a decade ago and still fresh in my mind an incredible live performer and musician.

 

At this rate the entertainment world will have nothing left except One Direction and Ant and Dec..God help us!

He did didn't he. I remember thinking, "oh how dramatic, man up" maybe he really was in a bad way.

2016 is a brutal year... and it's only April!! :(

Unfortunately I think it will only continue. The beginning of the entertainment age lot are now hitting an age. We have had more celebs than ever before in the last 50 years, so it's stands to reason will start loosing an ever increasing amount. Yesterday the mother from Everbody Loves Raymond died aswel.

Reflecting on his 2007 O2 performance that I saw him at, he was incredible live, I also saw Michael Jackson who was at the same level albeit for the theatre rather than the instrumental skills. Also seen Whitney Huston who was dire! That said, it's so sad that all three masters of their craft have gone so early. RIP.
