So it's time, time start preparing for The Southern joint meet between 300zxclub, Zclub and 350uk. Hosted in the heart of the new forest at Beaulieu National Motor Museum, simply Japanese invites Japanese cars from all over to attend and have access to its grounds and museum for a reduced price. So please join us on the 31st of July 2016 between 10am and 6pm, at this family friendly event which goes from strength to strength each year.

Firstly well done for sorting your ticket. The premeet is going to still happen but because of the format change there will be less of us taking part. I currently haven't been given any further information by Beaulieu in respect to these exhibitor passes, I can only assume they will be a generic print out affair, but confusing as they sell tickets on the day...I will have to start chasing them if I get no further information in the coming days.

Hi Steve, thought I couldn't do this because of the earlier date this year but am now free and providing she passes the MoT next week I will come along with my brother and friend. So hopefully three more 300zx if there's room.

I'm going to sit down tonight on the laptop and sort out things out nice and clear as there seems to be some confusions. You guys can add to the rolling list by copying and pasting, however il update the main list tonight over the three clubs involved.

Right this is the current list. As you can see theres quite a few people now attending from across the three clubs. All members must be on site and in positition at Beaulieu Motor Museum by 9.30am at the latest. For arrival arrangements there are two options. Please use the entrance marked "Simply Japanese Additional Entrance" this is on he other side of the village on B3054, the main entrance will NOT open until 9am.

 

Either arrive casually and be parked up as it suits you before 9.30am.

or

There is a Rally point to catch up and join the convoy which will depart at 8.15am from The Applemore Tesco, the address for that is as follows;

If I could request those that do wish to be in this group are present for 8am as we will be leaving at 8.15am sharp, if your late and the convoy has left then I do apologise but we have alot of cars to get into the site, plese make your way to the showground. Im sure it doesnt need to be said but Tesco have never moaned at us using this as a collection point, the store is closed at this time but any anti social driving and behaviour could jeapordise this option in future. DONT be a plank. Equally as previously mentioned its a 40mph limit most of the way with livestock everywhere so please stick to this whilst were in convoy, the clubs dont need any unwarrented attention.

 

I am still awaiting confirmation on these vechile club passes, I can only assume these will be generic print out affairs similar to what we did off our own back last year. Soon as I know I will inform you guys.

Cool, see you there. I'm not going to make a separate list for it because A I think it will confuse and B I expect a fair few will change their mind as and when they wake up late etc. I realise for some people an 8am arrival on a Sunday is pretty early, esp if your travelling from further a field.

......Initially I was weighing it up against another engagement; however I now have a slight ZX issue:sad:

 

I used the Zed for my daily commute on Monday - I couldn't be bothered to swap the cars around when we got back from Coventry on Sunday evening. All was well, as usual, then I parked the Zed back in the garage Monday evening, as I had a site visit at the QEOP Tuesday morning, hence took the Merc.

 

When I got home Tuesday afternoon, I parked in front of the garage, and spotted wetness under the garage door. I opened it up, and saw the Zed has dumped all of its coolant on the garage floor...!

Maybe Joel - I topped up yesterday, ran the engine and topped up until full. It dripped for a while and then stopped.

 

However with the current hot weather, I don't want to risk any journey more than a couple of miles until I know all is well. I've posted in the help and advice section for ideas - it's probably a hose that's seen better days....
