This is my best friend's new acquisition! 1999 Prowler with 34k miles....

The single never married with no kids lucky ******* also has a highly modded 2011 Grandsport Vette. He had a sweet 3000GT SL & Saturn Sky redline that were both hail damaged that he cashed out with to go towards his Vette then boom this! I hate him...

If you offfered to ship it here to the UK for free as well as giving me the car for free I would turn it down...........................

It was an abject failure from day 1. In its short production run 97 and then 99 to 2002 they only sold 11700 of them... that alone tells you all you need to know about this vehicle

I would rather have your (lightly damaged??) 280Z

Well I'll go against everyone else and say that I'm a fan of them, having driven a couple on the road they are such a headturner but they did miss a trick by not having a V8 version.

And Pete nice googling

I'm not gong to say that I'm a fan - or not......

.....BUT! Having read the "guilty pleasures" section at the back of the latest TG magazine, I must admit that I did think it might be fun to own one.....

I wish your mate all the best with their new purchase! Is it the 214bhp or the 250bhp version...... And did he buy the little matching bespoke trailer.... ?

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Yeah, the car really stands out and looks nice. What are these boring people talking about.

I would only say that it would only do for me as a strictly weekend/show car, i couldn't imagine driving that in the city or with a passenger, its just so small and low.

What good is a hot rod without a V8!

Ask the Z32... It's as fast or faster than a TT Z32. 0-60 in 5.6 secs is fast enough stock. It feels faster than that in the seats! It's a neat buggy.

But I feel you! A V8 would've been insane! In a good way.

Naw y'all crazy!!! Some cars are limited niche vehicles... Like Vipers only 30k built from day one, NSX only 18k built from day one, then there's cars that just wasn't loved by the public at all like the RX7 just 14k sold and then killed.

I'll cruise in his Prowler and enjoy the love from the public... Like I get in my custom VW Karmann Ghia (shameless plug!!!!!!) lol

I suspect that is true with that car! I was worried enough going to Brighton in my MX-5!

Its not to my personal taste, but if everyone liked the same cars it would be a boring old world so enjoy what your mate has, who are we to knock someone or something anyway...!

1990 Black MT NA LWB = 2014 - 2020 (Sold)

1991 Red MT TT LWB = 2015 - 2017 (Stripped & Scrapped)

1991 Red MT TT LWB = 2017 - 2021 (Sold)

1991 Black MT TT LWB = 2018 - 2021 (Sold)

1989 Red AT TT LWB = 2021 - XXXX (Kept)

I quite like them, I saw one in Dallas a few weeks ago and it does look interesting, but as with Baz, it's a shame they didn't fit it with a V8, just a lowly SOHC V6 auto motor from an Intrepid (dull family saloon car for those that don't know).

There have been a few V8 conversions around though, but it's quite difficult I believe as the gearbox is at the back and doesn't like V8 power all that much.

But the 3 cars you mentioned are all cool! The Prowler is a monstrosity! Show us the VW then, and anything else you've got hidden away :)

I would like to see photos of the Karmann Ghia

As for the Prowler, I have a model version of it somewhere buried at my mothers old house in the attic so I must have liked them at some point!
