Opinions required please, team :)

I'm debating losing my boot spoiler and having the shaved look... I know that Shorties can pull it off far better than the estate version can, but I'm just looking to hear some "for or against" opinions.

Cheers :thumbup1:

Shorties can pull it off better than a full size zed, see what I did there? But it's really not way forward to me. Equally I wonder how much purpose there is in the spoiler, they got progressively larger as the years went on, was that style or substance...

I think the shorter zeds can look good without, pulls it off better than the proper 'mans' version.

If I'm honest, your car's really nice mate so I'd need to see how it looks with and without. So, I'm voting to keep as is until I see it

Seems like a fairly common opinion so far...!

I'm only throwing ideas around at the moment anyway - there are things like a new exhaust and new turbos to sort out before I start changing any external parts. Thanks for the responses, gang - much appreciated

What turbos you getting si?

Erm... haven't got beyond the "I'll replace my turbos at some point" stage...!

Well you fixed the only thing that was wrong with it and that was to get rid of those TD Diablos! I'd say the exterior is complete - apart from the blue glass! :p

Whilst the SWB can easily carry off the de-spoilered look, I personally think a TT still looks better with one......

.....Albeit on the SWB, the OEM '89 spec is best; the '99-spec not quite so:cool:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

My opinion will be obvious. I really like the look of the back end with the Perspex strip fitted and I'm not particualy keen on any of the factory spoilers. For a swb I would remove it as it wakes the lines far less fussy and makes the car less dated

However, if I were going for a more stock look ( front bumper) I'd keep the 89 spec and keep the car all original

It's your car but personally with the new wheels I think it would look fantastic despoilered

In all likelihood, I'll probably end up keeping the exterior look as it currently is. I'm just throwing ideas around at the moment for that day when I suddenly and unexpectedly stumble across a suitcase filled with money...!

Ide be interested to see what it looks like without if someone works the photo shop magic I've seen some really nice looking zeds without spoiler but theyve had mad wide crazy camber wheels on back which I think helps and I'm unsure if they been swb or not as only been pictures. My first zed was an na totally stock no kit no spoiler and I liked that I think its just personal pref if you like it does it really matter what anyone else thinks.
