I'm considering whether or not to upgrade my suspension with adjustable parts. I currently only have MeisterR coilovers and I just bought a drift works total hi as delete. What products for people think I should go for / consider?

I seem to remember he has the hockey puck model with a harder suspension because it's better for track.

I think if you do go adjustable you need to go quality....... knowing you it will involve loads of research and making sure you get the right ones.......

This was the start of my research lol. I'm curious what people have and what good. Ive heard the SPL stuff is very good but also very expensive, but then I'm not exactly sure which bits I need.

The first question to ask is what do you want to achieve.

Thanks Stephen. So, the main purpose here is to make sure the wheels are sitting straight and be able to get good alignment and a good stance.

At present, I've just got the Meister R coilovers And in turn, the wheels are in slightly at the top. I really want them sitting right. I also bought the drift works total hicas delete kit... Just not fitted it yet

i have lowered suspension i used hicas lock out, rear adjustable camber arms, from adjustable camber arms and adjustable tein front tension thats was plenty to get the car alignment back to stock setting

So you have excessive negative camber?

Not massively mate but definitely in at the top and wearing the tyres on the inside

thats what i have upper camber arms front and rear

In order to get the car aligned correctly after installing the coilovers you would need the front upper control arms. I have powertrix installed on mine, but truth be told, I have not been very pleased with their quality. I will be switching over to the Z1's, they have had pretty good reviews and look stronger. These are the only non-SPL parts I have installed on my Z. I would also suggest replacing the tension rods with the SPL titanium. These two will take care of getting everything in the front back to spec.

The rear is a bit trickier, but the rear upper control/camber arms and toe rods will get you back into spec. Also while you are at it check your rubber bushings as these will also affect your alignment, replace as needed.

Thanks mate. I've been debating on the Z1 FUCA's but their shipping seems to kill it a little for me. Plus Z1 have been getting a ittle bad press lately on the service front.

No problem. You are correct, Z1's service has been getting worse over time, that is why I am no longer purchasing directly from them. I am purchasing most of my parts through CZP, they have been very helpful and respond quickly to my inquiries.

Yeah, that's a thought. I really like ordering from there.... Just like Z1's website better

Negative camber won't necessarily cause a premature wear on the inside shoulder of a tyre, more often this wear will be caused by a toe issue causing the tyre to scrub, camber doesn't cause the tyre to scrub so it's a slow rate of wear, incorrect toe causes scrub resulting in a rapid rate of wear.

Interesting that someone started this thread that's what I logged on to do, I'm curious now every suspension part on mine is to be replaced with new and updated ajustable parts wholev9yards but I'm curious to know if anyone has tried front and rear control arms off a eBay now I know you usually get what you pay for and I myself have had some crap off eBay but at the same time had some very high quality stuff without needing take out a loan, and a lot of these parts are made in the same place out of the same material and re branded. It would be good to try get someone on the forum who uses there car on a track or has a separate track car to test such items here is link for what i was looking at

I for one would be up for chipping in a small amount if we can find someone on forum willing to test and give a full report would only require a group of us all chipping in 10 quid or so unless anyone has previously tested and they've snapped at the first sign of any power or heavy cornering.

Those are subframe and diff solid mounts. I have them fitted. You probably won't want to fit those lol, very harsh.

A lot of it's the same stuff, say japspeed is most likely the same Chinese manufacturer. Just as a word of warning, if you go mental with solid joints etc you will end up with a harsh ride. There are half way points though and alternatives. Like I said to bird you need to work out what you want to achieve and what your prepared to sacrifice for your end result.

As a rule I wouldn't buy anything like this from eBay, I know there is the possibility of things made in the same factory etc etc, but for me I feel more comfortable buying from a proper retailer so if issues do arise at least you have someone to actually TALK to and get them resolved, I generally think ebay is the most likely place for crap.

I orders my suspension from driftworks but never fitted any of it, I wasn't impressed with the quality of it, very poor cast threads, loose fitting generic rose joints with loose spacers rather than dedicated size joints for the location, they just weren't to my liking.

I would say the same but it's one of those things you never really know unless they have been tried I mean I wouldn't go buyin them just to save some money not when the build is already in high figures but I would be willing to throw some money in to having someone test the parts there must be someone on here that's always chopping and changing parts and likes trying new stuff. As for harsh ride I'm aware of this and if it ends up too hard il have myself one of those rubber rings you get for piles on stand bye lol.
