Haha! That's my friend Chris's car (Greavous from 3ZC). He runs leatherwheels.com . That photo was taken at Branson Z Fest in Missouri back in 09!

Mine are like this.

looks like the 99spec may have come out the factory with it body coloured...

its what you prefer mate, and what is easiest for you, i had mine powder coated to get rid of the satin which was on there and i didnt want it to peel off and cost about a tenner so less then painting them,

I'm having my roof bars in gloss black. I'm considering gloss black now for my tache and my mirror backings as well although I was going to have them in a dark grey metallic. Only 2 weeks until mine goes in now!

to day i did the last of the strip for paint doors off and tail gate is ready to come off to but will do that at the paint shop i have to say i do hate this car at times be glad to see the back of all this work

A big part of Zed ownwership in my opinion, it's a love hate relationship thats bloody difficult to quantify at times. I along with many other could afford a modern marque, however I would be bored.

When you put this back together after the repray, it will be your car. If you ever sell it, the work you have done will still make it your car; and when you see her there sitting in her new glory holding her head high amongst all the modern sports cars you will know that the effort most of us put into our cars was all worth it.

Like my Mrs says, she has got accustomed to not seeing me every Sunday (as I'm always in the garage) during my 16 years of Zed ownership and it give her the time to herself to catch up on the housework and an episode of Call the Midwife.............Now ask yourself why would you get fed up with the hard work!!

Loving the updates mate, looking forward to seeing the start of the rebuild.:thumbup1:

fingers crossed it will be back and on the road in 8 weeks form now

Nice going Dan..... looking like you put in some hard work today.....

I start getting ready for some paint in april......

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

am worn out been working very hard last few weeks at work to get the money on to do all this work the cosst are pretty high lucky am busy with work to pay for this money pit lol.

wouldnt wont to do this again

Putting it all back together was very therapeutic for me. Frustrating at times but very rewarding seeing it all coming back to life, it took me 2 full days to align the wings, bonnet and front bumper panel gaps!

When you do reassemble, remember; no clothes with buckles, no jewellery and careful with the ratchet/spanner swinging!

Wait til it warms up if you do reassemble naked though!!!

It's a lot of hard work but trust me, when it all starts coming back together it will be worth it. As has been said it's very thereputic.

just come back home from work for lunch to find to find more parts here the 4 pot rear k sports are here to match the front 8 pots i have taken some pics next to the front so you can see the size front and rear the race logic traction control is here to though i now ended up with 2 race logic systems one is brand new in the box the 2nd had one turned up today, am going to used the new in the box one i think as it has full throttle shift upgrades will on it. and some rear speaker as the stock ones are a toss
