So from the ashes or parts of Purple Rain she will be reborn !

Hats off to you mate for forging ahead so quickly and probably best you do while you still have the fire in your belly to make it happen:thumbup: Lots of people at NEC i told couldnt believe it and really felt your pain as they too have rebuilt their pride and joys and to see it end in that way is beyond comprehension really.

I know Mondo is going to swear at me for this, but could the logo be stitched into the seats?

I certainly think it'd look better embroidered into the seats than airbrushed onto the new Zed's flanks or anything like that. Less is more, and all that :thumbup1:

Full respray for the new zed I haven't even bought yet booked in for the 1st February. :)

 

Long wait list so may as well get it booked now.

Ah but what colour? Just so we don't get 2 phoenix's in the same colour as mines booked for February too lol

Going with the flow with the Phoenix i'm thinking of getting one air brushed onto the rear quarter where the last zed was hit.

 

Below is the graphic I've came up with and also an idea of where I would like it.

 

Anyone have any experience with airbrushing or know any professionals that can do something like this ?

Decals like that don't belong on these cars in my opinion. They are more suited to an Orange Ford Focus ST or tattooed on a 'full time yummy mummy's foot.

 

I do hope you reconsider your car looked amazing just plain without any sort of graphics.

I think the phoenix graphic you have is great, but you need to be careful where you put it.

I know I suggested it but I think the phoenix embroidered on the seats would look fantastic.

I think if you put a big graphic on the car you are heading down the "fast and furious" route which seems to be quite far removed from the Purple Rain.

If it were me I would look to see if I could pay homage with little touches, such as wheel centres, or replace the bonnet badge with a badge the same size with the phoenix on it.

Maybe incorporate into the dash clocks somehow. Perhaps a small graphic next to the 300zx on the rear centre panel - now there's a challenge! Or puddle lights.

I think with the quality of the build that you will undoubtedly carry out less is more.

But ultimately it is your Zed and you should build it how you want it

The last one in House of Kolors purple cost me £2.5K and I stripped down the car to a shell.

 

That particular paint is a bit higher cost so likely a grand cheaper for normal paint.

 

But depends on who's doing it I guess.

I think you should get a show plate made, like Joels, but with a phoenix on it as a tribute, but only known by the select few as to why :thumbup1:
