Agree about the skip, they had plenty of space in the yard behind for it.

Agree about the kettle and having a tea/coffee station

Speaking personally, I won't be pitching my tent right next to the bloody skip again!

Listen...you leave my car out of this;)

Don't feel so bad phutumsch I'm her sister and she only mentioned me and my car as an afterthought !!! To add insult to injury she even reversed into me about an hour after arriving on Thursday leaving her mark !! But unlike you I'm stuck with her for life !

Being Irish means having fun & the craic is part of our DNA and JAE weekend was no different, met many lovely people, got some wonderful photos and really enjoyed the road trip, so all in all a good time had.

As a new member and a first timer to such an event as JAE it certainly was a memorable experience for me, interesting to see a reasonable amount of Z's all parked up together, with many modifications and looks as diverse and different as their respective owners.

On a more serious note and of course I'm open to correction but I believe my car was the most original specimen bar the wheels on display? I would welcome any constructive comments or observations good, bad or indifferent from those who possess a wealth of knowledge and expertise when it comes to the 300zx it would be appreciated. Many thanks

Cheers

LiZony

Nice to meet you all even though I'm still not sure who I was speaking to most the time.

I agree the 300zx club stand should be better planned and definitely more fun :)

I did wonder why his was in there and not mine :tongue_smilie:.

I think i told you that the spread you put on was wonderful, top class burgers, sausage, bacon, etc and I will soon be buying some of those cheese topped barms, they were scrummy.

Thank you for all your efforts, certainly appreciated .

It was my 4th Jae and i noticed every year there are less zeds on 300zx club and more with others :( there must be something wrong

How many Z32s were at JAE this year?

I reckon what Ronaldas said about numbers is correct, although the 25 were not there for the entire weekend, some were just day visitors. With the ones who were not on the Club stand, a couple were with traders stand, some wanted to be with their local/mixed model club, and unfortunately for whatever reasons some choose to stay well away from us

There were a couple on the ExtremeBHP stand, a couple on the Outlaw Jap stand, Gibster and another supporting Dasstech's trade stand, and Zulley was off with his local club. No doubt one or two others dotted about here and there as well.

For people wanting to see the single largest grouping of Z32s (and indeed other Zcars), our stand was the winner.

Part of the problem, I think, is that our stand was dominated by the Z32. There were only two or three Z33s there, a 280ZX and, on the Sunday, a 260Z (I think). Unless people are very interested in Z32s, there wasn't a lot to see.

I'd have much preferred a bigger selection of all Z cars on our stand and I was genuinely surprised by the weak turnout from the other clubs who we shared the stand with!

Personally, I thought it was nice to see such a varied selection of Z32 in one place. From the highly modified to the relatively stock, and 2+2s and 2+0s (both targa and slicktop), I enjoyed looking around them all.

But then, I rather like the Z32....

Trish, you missed Joel1993 out lol.

Ah, dear Russ. So misguided.

You did all that, and still couldn't make it to JAE, therefore you couldn't possibly win, cos you weren't good enough to get there lol

I agree here, sure it's the cars that bring us together in the first place but it's a weekend of no work, having a laugh and drinking corona with a bacon butty at 9:30am that does it for me. FUN is the key word here for me.

I also think the club stand was in a bad location which didn't help. Just an opinion and not intended to upset anyone who helped set the stand up for the club.
