Right, I've searched and searched but can't find anything definitive so now I'm asking:

How do I wire my rear fog light (O/S chamber on rear panel) into the JDM front foglight switch?

I'm more than happy to sacrifice the front fogs - I just want to use the existing switch to operate my rear fogs.

Idiot-speak more than welcome!

I think the switch has to light up as well so you know its on or off

The foglight switch has a tell-tale that lights up when switched on, Tom. So no worries there.

I just cannot figure out how to get it to power the rear fog light itself!

Ah ok mate, havnt used mine for ages as I've got no front fogs. Should do that on my zed really to get rid of the extra switch & tidy things up a bit,

From memory, the fogs run off pins 17 and 18 on the connector block behind the switch

That's correct, Mark. But how do those wires successfully connect to the wires for my rear fog?

That's what I can't find or figure out! Aaaaargh!!

One wire is a ground, so you only need run one live wire to the switch from your fogs, ie through the car to the dash pod or under the car to the front fogs for speed.

Too much of a pain in the arse to figure out so I've had to relent and put a separate switch in for the rear fogs.

Why don't you just take a meter to earth test which is ground and which is live then run the live to the back and a short ground at the rear, bang done.

If you want a hand doing this, just let me know. Did it to mine a while back, as well as wiring up the telltale light in my UK cluster.
