Call me cynical if you will, but it seems odd that one of the biggest car manufacturers in the world wouldn't put any kind of heel pad on the driver's mat... especially when every other iteration of the Z32 mats have (to the best of my knowledge) been fitted with a heel pad...

Can anyone actually confirm that they're genuine 99 Spec mats? They have an aftermarket look about them, in my opinion...

Mine has the shagpile ones... There's no mention of mats in the press release for the series six.

Im not sure Nissan ever put 2 holes on the back edge to hold the mat down, i've only ever seen one placed centrally with a metal gromit, not plastic ones.

It is...

And remember the car in Japan was a Fairlady Z NOT a 300ZX.

So having 300ZX on them makes them fakes IMO

you guys are great, ebay detectives, Sherlock Holmes eat your heart out

I've had a set of these mats in my car since 2002. Definitely made to measure. Mines a uk so no fairlady

I've also got a set, so that's 3 known to exist lol. They were possibly a dealer fit item released after the brochure?
