Can't say if that's an error or very late registration, but interesting nonetheless. I haven't seen a tan interior on a S6 model before.

 

 

If that chassis number is 570358 then it was the fourth GCZ32 produced in the final month of production (August 2000), but the second digit isn't completely clear. Then again it has the wrong nose badge, so maybe it's 540358 which would be September 1992.

According to Brian Longs book tan leather interior was listed as an option for the 99+ car.

It's possible - I'm just still not entirely convinced. It's had basically the whole front end replaced and it's unclear whether the VIN is 1992 or 2000 as I mentioned above.

Looks great, but I doubt most auctions houses would grade it that high considering the change of bumper and headlights, plus it's probably had a respray.

 

Guys this one went under the hammer again last night, downgraded to a 4, which is probably right. It didn't sell because the owner wants to start negotiations at 1250,000 which amounts to roughly £7k, so even if it was got for that you would be looking at around £12-13k ready to go over here.

Auctions are still a bit slow this week. Wouldn't buy a car below grade 3.5/4 personally.

Looks like the rear view mirror is in its usual place going by the first pic. Maybe that's his secondary, gauge viewing mirror? Just seems a very strange place to put gauges IMO.
