I came accross a very interesting twin turbo setup. Anyone seen this before what are the pros of running like this?

It would appear they have looped out the intercoolers. Seems like a crap idea to me, maybe in some very specific occasions it could be advantageous but in a road going car I think it's more a bodge than a mod. Unless someone knows better?

!!! That doesn't have intercoolers! Possibly in a drag car? I spose that's like cementing the block! Fine in 12.5 second 400m bursts!

On the plus side very little turbo lag and boost pressure drop off, on the negative side high inlet temps.

I wonder if you crossed this with a cyro2 system to bring temperatures dow, it could work, for short periods of time anyway.

Imagine if you could somehow put heat sinks or otherwise modify the sections of pipe that sit across the front of the engine, sufficiently to achieve the cooling you need. You would need a scoop or something to force a lot of air through them. like gt40, lotus elise, tvr style through flow of air. a bit out there I spose but so is no intercoolers!

He doesn't have a viscous fan either, was the picture taken in siberia!

There's some tabs on the rad so I recon there's an electric fan.

Iff its for a fast sprint car then it makes complete sense except for the fact it must really load them throttle bodies up on the boosted overrun with no blow off facility and being so close to the tubs:confused:

My finely-tuned sarcasm sensor just went crazy!!

Mine was just wedged in! When I came to remove it I spent ages looking for how to release it, went right round it... then just pulled upwards!
