Interesting setup

I came accross a very interesting twin turbo setup. 787C04D4-AAC4-483E-B0B8-61ADD0CBAFA7_zpsbazltmi5.png Anyone seen this before what are the pros of running like this?

It would appear they have looped out the intercoolers. Seems like a crap idea to me, maybe in some very specific occasions it could be advantageous but in a road going car I think it's more a bodge than a mod. Unless someone knows better?

Imagine if you could somehow put heat sinks or otherwise modify the sections of pipe that sit across the front of the engine, sufficiently to achieve the cooling you need. You would need a scoop or something to force a lot of air through them. like gt40, lotus elise, tvr style through flow of air. a bit out there I spose but so is no intercoolers!

Iff its for a fast sprint car then it makes complete sense except for the fact it must really load them throttle bodies up on the boosted overrun with no blow off facility and being so close to the tubs:confused:

The radiator brackets are a work of art.....
