I'm sure this has been asked many times before but What's the best offset for 18" wheels, 9.5 on the rear 8.5 on the front? Arches aren't rolled.

Personally I would say for the fronts with an 8.5J wheel, a sensible good looking offset is ET25 bringing the wheels nicely out from the stock location. For a proper flush fit though, you'll need ET18 - ET20, but bare in mind the extra curbing risk and stone chip damage that might occur.

For the rear with a 9.5J wheel, a sensible good looking offset would be ET35 again massively out from the stock wheel face location.

ET30's won't cause any problems either, but I personally wouldn't go any less although some have you'll probably need to roll the arch lip.

These are the wheels I'm looking at. Would 30 be ok for rears or 35?

I'm running 9.5 front and rears Tom, both with 265 35 18 s and ET35 rear arches have been lipped

I would air on the side of caution and stick with the 35's, if you find you want a little extra afterwards you could always use something like these....

At ET35, you shouldn't need to roll the arch, but problem is although the offset thing is supposed to be an industry standard, I bet there are some slight differences between wheel manufacturers.

If your running standard shocks they will fit fine, but lowered and they will foul the arch.

I forgot to mention mine is 25mm lower. So would et35 rub the arch?

Now you tell me Tom, I could have done the arches while it was here?

It is difficult to say because being lowered the camber should theoretically pull the tops of the wheel in some more. The tyre size will also have an effect, don't go too wide.

KJZ32's pictures show his ET35's to be flush with his arches, but I'm sure I've seen others with the same offset not be quite so...

My gut feeling is you shouldn't have any issues, stick with a 265/35 tyre and the ET35 wheel.

Maybe wait for some more feedback from others with different wheel types, they'll be along shortly....

I know but new wheels weren't in my mind when I dropped her off.

I have these

Front 18" x 8.5" +21mm

Rear 18" x 9.5" +41mm

With these offsets there are no guard clearance or contact issues.

No problems with clearances on R33 GT-R Brembo brakes.

No spacers required.

Think I'll be going for 35 on the back & 20 on the front.

Based on the widths you want to go, that's pretty much spot on. +25 on the front is a little better if you don't want any issues on an 8.5+ wheel, but +20 should work, depends how low you go and how much camber you have dialled in.

Got to go for et30 on the rear now as just found out they don't do a 35. Would this fit ok?

I run +25 on the rear of mine with 9.5" wheels. I have had the top of the arch lip rolled though. It's hit/miss, if you do get any rubbage, it will only be very slight. You may be lucky.

That's the website I was looking at but I've just bought some different ones as they didn't have the offset I needed. Might look at these again next year when I get the arches rolled so I can go a bit more extreme.

Ah right i see cool im goin to order next week or 2 matte black 18x8.5 et35 and a 5mm spacer to bring it upto et30 and 18x9.5 et35 i dont want to roll arches hopefully they look cool on it
