Hi just quick question, I'm not a big believer that 0-60 is the be all and end all its made out as I find in gear acceleration much more important and usable , but regardless I'd wonder if anyone has tested there 0-60. My car is dyno'd at 426 bhp. I like it to much to destroy it and like to treat it like an old car but if I was brave enough to give it 4000 rpm dump the clutch and try and get best 0-60 time has anyone any opinion on a rough time ?? Also any rough guide what it would top out at. Thanks for any help . My guess would be 175 ish mph and around 4.5 to 60, does this sound about right thank you

thats what i thought iv seen 0-60 times of standard cars ranging from 5 to 5.4 secs so surely another 100 plus horse power is gonna bring it down substantially? obviously if your brave anough and not worried about clutch etc

Trust me it's not about bravely it's just difficult.

Factory TTs have a 0-60 time of 5.5 secs, so with the right mods how come we can't expect to get in the 4s? I don't know how accurate the Gtech meters are, but I often found my old TT in the high 4 second bracket.

I also think think that a na rear end on my tt helped tonnes.that well change things.

I would think na rear end on a tt will make launch harder, happy to see your before and after times....

General driving and in gear acceleration the na rear end will make the car more responsive

Ive been told ten percent. But i can tell you it absolutly made my orange car an animal in the low down start of sprint.

My brother had been in my car before.then when i had this done my brother was quoted to say up the same peace of contry road.bloody hell.its not a good day to die.slow down very good..

So much conjecture in one thread. All this is pointless without proper measurement.

I agree..

....there are a number of factors to consider. Firstly the age, mileage and condition of the engine and running gear.

Next, even if you up BHP to (a measured) 450+, it will only have a noticeable effect on the 0-60 time if the power increase occurs at the right point in the rev range. If all the extra power comes in at (say) 5000rpm, then you might shave off the odd tenth. You'll probably see a bigger top speed; and maybe a better 0-100 or standing quarter.......

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

As for top speed, I hit 183mph through a calibrated laser speed trap at bruntingthorpe at vmax (mine was putting out 580 at the fly). It was still pulling but I ran out of runway. Seem to remember is being VERY close to the red line at that speed, I'd be suprised if it breached 195mph with enough road with stock TT gearing with my wheel and tyre sizes

bloody hell that's impressive performance/power. mines just 426 next step intercoolers then to be honest don't think I need any more than that as it feels bloody quick anyway and I don't wanna compromise reliability. gotta say though what a car, turns heads like a modern day supercar. makes me feel 17 again when I loved driving and would just jump in my car and go for a drive with no where to go

im aware of all factors and im not saying consistently what would it produce, more if all the stars aligned etc right conditions driver get a good start without bogging etc. I haven't tried a launch and I never will I like the car far to much to do them games lol
