Looking at reverting back to stock control arms and tension rods (something a little more forgiving) and fitting a 300Degree shim kit as my car isn't that low!

My Powertrix suspension stuff is likely to be coming off and going up for sale.

In the meantime, just wondering if anyone has all 4 pieces...or either one or the other? I don't care on condition as ALL the bushes will be replaced. I just want whatever you have, as long as it's not badly corroded as they'll be shot blasted and powercoated.

Simon, these are the Nismo bushes I used when I replaced the stock worn out bushes. They are a harder

compound of rubber than stock, but have not changed the NVH to any significant degree. You can get the

bushes from Japan if not available elsewhere.

This is the Nismo catalog page for Z32 front suspension showing the bushes and part numbers.

Oooh! Wonderful! Pricing looks good on those too. Mmmm. Might just get me some crappy ones, get them shot blasted and powdercoated black and get the Nismo bushes pressed in! :)

I'm sure NVH will be substantially better than the bearing joints irrespective!! :)

I've got bone stock upper arms and stock front tie rods with ES poly bushes (later style) I need a set of aftermarket tie rods and the upper arms would be great.

Hmmm....potentially I like the idea, but I think I want rubber bushes. I guess I'm getting old! lol. Not sure how hard the polybushes are in terms of NVH.

Bet you'd love energy suspension Si, going over the bumps it rattles the dirt out of the funniest of places.

The upper arms are stock completely. The ES bushes in the tie rod are fairly soft because the early ones were hard and cracked lower arms.

What condition are your uppers in? Are the bushes in good condition? You haven't painted them in any revolting colours have you like orange, green or pink? lol

If ever a single quote effectively summed up a person completely, this is it...!! :lol:

I can't stand multi coloured or brightly painted suspension components. Not a good look! lol

i agree...powder coated satin black,same as OEM but far more durable than paint

I'm insulted you think I'd consciously add orange or pink to my car!!! Just plain old black. Should be in good nick my cars pretty clean as you know. Couldn't say for sure though as I've not removed them yet.

Why not just buy new OEM from the states? Your car is clearly worthy of the investment! That's what I've done and its not half the example yours is - yet!

I will be buying the bushings from the US I think, but I want tension rods that are already in half decent condition. In fact, JoelyP and I are soon to be putting an order in a big order for upgrade Nismo bushings shortly. :)

Rear lower arm nismo bushes are no longer made I think you may find.

Correct - no longer made....but.... :p

Ok...so I don't care on condition of the bushes, they can be scrap. As long as the metalwork is not bent or heavily corroded, I'll have them - even if they're multi-coloured!! I'm doing a FULL refurb, including new powdercoating in satin black, brand new bushings etc.

List being:

* Front tension rods

* Front camber arms (preferably WITH the bracket - but not essential)

* Rear camber arms

* Rear hub carrier (for TT) - both sides please

All of that is sat here if your interested. The rear stuff is already off the car and the fronts bits are still on, including the upper arm brackets. I'm replacing all of those bits on mine

Can I ask out of curiosity...why revert? I thought all those rods n links had to be changed for camber/toe reasons when putting bigger rims on? And could u not use those nismo bushes with the Powertrix setup you have now for a better ride? and forgive my ignorance, but can those rubber bushes be used with stock as well as aftermarkets?
