It's not mine nor anything to do with me, but green zed don't come up very often...

EBay item: 321662201762

Can't get the link working so number will have to do.

It's a manual, not as new or nice condition as mine, but could be saved by someone, it's one of my favourite colours on a zed...

If It's got a whole that size by the filler cap wonder what the rest of the back end looks like rust wise ?

I agree, buyer beware with this one.

I'm not sure it's worth the starting bid of £1000 as I would put money on that rust being even worse than it looks.

Also, just a hunch but I don't get very trustworthy vibes from the seller; "Recently MOT'd the car and it passed with flying colours", surely that rust should at least be an advisory? (if not a fail for a more strict tester); "One thing I must say is there is a little hole near the bottom of the petrol cap, which is a common fault with these.". That "little" hole like that isn't really that common and in my opinion it certainly isn't that little!

Maybe I'm being unfair to the seller?

No I don't think you are After all the work I had done on mine from what looked like mine surface rust to reveal major work

Hmmm, that Ford Ka he's advertising looks strangely like a Zed....

`Did you say your breaking yours at last????

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

It's a bit of an oddball this one because it's got the 95-98 spoiled but still go a tweed interior and matching seats. I thought that when the spoiler designated the upgrade it would have the corresponding interior ?

Pretty sure that's not tweed Tony. It's also got the 300ZX logo on the seats, suggesting it is a newer model.

It's the same as mine, and mines a 95 "n" reg although mine doesn't have 300zx on the seats, or abs... Lol

That rust below fuel cap certainly isn't a failure, an advisory would be fair here.

Tes but look at the shot of the back seat and rear panels.... That certainly belongs to older models

With those seats, it could be a version S model,

The early tweed seats where replaced with velour from series 3/4 I think, Funki will be able to help with this Chris.

I see, mine is a late 1996 N reg with black tweed and 300ZX on seats. Come on funkysi, share your wisdom!

The early tweed seats were series 1 only. Series 1 UK cars had the darker shade tweed followed by leather from series 2 onwards. Series 1 JDM cars had the light grey tweed followed by velour from series 2.

At some point, the JDM cars changed from velour to the darker tweed but I'm not sure when that change over was; Simon? Maybe there were different factory options by this time?

Later 95+ reverted to black tweed. So, series...5 or 6. Leather was still an option, but velour was discontinued and wasn't an option.

My series 1 JDM had the leather with the adjustable lumbars and back support and tweed cards etc, cruise control, automatic lots of toys. It's had a lot of it changed admittedly but that's how it came.

You can also tell by the VIN whether it was fitted with leather as it tells you the 'trim' code too.

My series 2 came with the optional manual control velour seats. Would rather have had the standard powered leather ones tbh, would have saved me having to retro fit my old ones.
