Z locked safely in the garage (and has been for about a month as I've hardly been in the country)! Seeing ex/gf/chick/whatever tonight and will not park the DD anywhere near a tree! She lives in quite a leafy part of Clifton - During the last big storm we had earlier in the year, the car parked from mine further down her street, a nice shiny new BMW had a branch land on its roof!

It's not forecast to hit as far as us Si I don't think, weather report said Northern Ireland, Scotland and the north west, possibly the east.

I have just been affected by the hurricane. I thought id just put a waft more clear laquer on my fan. Stood back to the wind... laquered my face. Just been rinsing my eyes out with a clean yoghurt pot and warm water. To an observer it may have looled like I was doing an eyeball paul thing with muller rice!

I dunno Steve, I'm in Central London at the moment and it's gridlock. Police EVERYWHERE, some woman in Knightsbridge (where I drove through earlier) was killed when a tree fell on her. It took me 2.5 hours to get from Hounslow to SE1, that's a distance of about 7 miles!

He stands mid-river waiting for the Salmon to start the journey to spawn....5K worth of work by 10.30am this morning, bring on more bad weather:yes:

Nada today, nothing more than a windy day for an hour or so. I've been in Warminster all day and madam has been at home nothing there either. Infact I had my sunglasses on on the way home, really nice evening.

I'm on my rig in the middle of the North Sea at the moment and the wind is howling, the rig is shaking and the waves are frickin huge! Before the sun went down we could see the support vessel and it was almost disappearing behind the waves. Due to get a chopper to shore in the morning so hopefully it will have calmed by then and hopefully Schiphol airport will have reopened!

Nice airport that, very modern. I enjoy the security on segways.

must be something to do with leaving in norwich and working in the north sea, a eggs, i tried to look for our support ship in the afternoon and coulnt see it.its a tad windy out here to.

Choppers been delayed at least 2 hrs as it's 50knot winds here so even if I get off the rig I'll probably miss my flights home, I could even have to go back to work if my relief can't make it here.....:crying:

They have those at Atlanta and Los Angeles. Quite common in good modern airports EXCEPT UK airports where it's considered a health and safety risk!

Schipol airport isn't too bad, Munich is probably has the nicest environment of any UK airport, but I think Madrid's airport is probably the nicest transit airport in Europe.....the worst being Heathrow!

So I got off the rig but it was so delayed we all missed our flights so staying over in Billund for the night. I opened up the door of the heli-lounge last night and was immediately drenched by the immense amount of rain pelting the rig. The whole rig got shut down, nobody allowed on the upper decks.

Pssst, Si, Munich's in Germany ;)
